Mexicans from Mexico generally will not support a "Pocho" by any means....of anything they will criticize them........

There are some to this exception Margarito was smart enough to figure this out that is why he was able to have a career as a so-called "Mexican" boxer....Because lests be honest the "Torrance Tornado" wouldn't have the same marketing power in the sport.

That's what i find most distastful about the mexican-american population in so-cal. Since most have at least a little contact (if not more) with sureno gangsters, they kind of adopt their racist mentality against blacks. Of course this isn't the case with all of them, and it is getting better, but there is still more than enough racism to cause an outsider to think that they are all like that. Very sad. I hope the next generation of mexican-americans are less racists.

Mexicans from Mexico resent Mexicans from the United States, it has to with envy....many Mexicans realize that life is harder over there than in the US as result they strereotype the Mexicans here of having it easy, and never having to struggle.....

The truth is they are jealous....of the opportunities and quality of life here in the States............generally, compared to that in Mexico on an average.

It's the same crap when you hang out with a group of blacks or a group of whites, or a group of Filipinos, etc.

You maybe right. It just seems more pronounced with mexican-americans beacause of their numbers. Either way I can only speak on my experience and it has been that the black people I have kicked it with hate "essays" (mexican-american sureno ganagsters) but like all other meixican-americans. The filipinos I have kicked it with seem to like all races. But the white people (mostly the wasps, not really the catholic and jewish white people) do seem to have a higher number of racists than anyone else. They don't like mexicans, blacks, or asains. They want everyone to speak english. I'm like hello you're in little saigon most of these people are political refugees straight out of vietnam, just leave the neighborhood if you dislike vietnamese soooo much. Anyways its not scientific and doesn't mean much but that has been my experience.

Actually Margarito really is a Mexican.. He was born here, but raised there and doesnt even now english. Hes defintiely a Paisa not a Pocho/Chicano.. His style is puro Mexicano.

Where as a guy like Mares was born in Mexico but raised here. .. Meeting and talking to him you would just assume he is 100% American,,, If you didnt know who he was you would assume hes some young american college kid.

Being a chicano i really get pissed off that alot of paisas have there Cynical, whiney, Superior than Pocho attitudes....But for every Mexicano that thinks like that,, there are also alot who will back Chicano fighters up ,..And acknowledge(the ones who live here) that there kids a Pochos/Chicanos too.

Actuslly the tension wasnt even there back in the days.. All that Black/Brown conflict/tension didnt even start till the early 90s... My pops always tell me (he was a 60s rebel) how ****ed up the thinking is from my generation..... Back then Mexicans/Blacks got al0ng (for the most part) and acknowledged the similarities and not the differences... Even Crips/Bloods and Surenos didnt have beef((until early 9s0)s they just fought there own race.... Dont see the next generation being as coolas the early pre 90s .

Ironically, this is the same complaint Mejicanos have against the Pochos. They are cynical, lazy and have that superiority complex cause they were born in the U.S. of A!

No disrespect but there are Mexicans who are willing to take a risk to cross the border into America. It's obvious they see living in America as a good thing, so why hate on Mexican-Americans?:huh

Basically it all boils down to me-me-me. Whatever group you belong to will always look with a suspicious eye to the other group who might be even slighly different than you.

It's no different than the ghetto blacks who "hate on" the more educated blacks, and vice-verse. It's a vicious circle. It's not right but it is reality.

Actually they might say that amongst themselves.. But whites try and be buddy buddy with the Surenos in Jail and are actually allies.. Even on the streets you never here about skis attacking mexicans.... Lived in LA/So Cal my whole life, and never have heard a derogotory slur from whites... Maybe in other states, but in So cal theres really not any white/brown tensions.
