I think peak tucker would have an edge but I believe he and primo are around the same level. when you think about it tucker had split decisions with orlin norris and oliver mcCall- this was tuckers level. A fair class heavyweight, just as manufactured as primo. The fights that made tucker famous were fights he lost and he was brought along very, very slowly on the same old soldiers bruno and tyson fed from. chuck gardner, walter santemore, lupe Guerra, bobby Crabtree, Dave jaco. there were other opponents with records like 0-15, 10-30, 0-5, characters with names like fred farmer and charles atlas - basically all from "getta win.com." bottom line is tuckers record was only 50-50 with pros anyone had heard of.
Tucker was hardly mister versatile. Just watch the guy on film, he wasn't really all that and a bag of potato chips despite having a shitload of physical gifts. Not a great matchup for Carnera but it's an even fight. Over 15 I'd favor the more driven and motivated Carnera. Tucker could disapear in fights.
Carnera was actualy a prety darn good technician. He was good on the inside and good on the outside and could usualy keep the fight where the other guy didn't want it. I think he might well be able to throw Tucker a few curveballs.
Tucker would win a strong UD from Primo.Probably one of the few heavies in history he can beat decisecivly.
