Stieglitz is still a good and credible opponent. If the money is nearly as good for a Stieglitz fight as they are for a Bute fight, I can understand if it ends up being Stieglitz next.

I also think Showtime guys are not happy with the situation. Why the hell would they put Kessler-Bouadla on one of their cards, except to promote Bute-Kessler? Sauerland doesn't look fair with Showtime on that one.

Unless we discover that Showtime is happy with the possibility of having the 4 belts... boxing always finds a way to surprise me.

From a promoter point of view, I can understand it too. He should take care of not making Showtime people angry though.

I read about all the thread and in essence I agree with you. But the problem is, it's been since the S6 that we (Bute's fans) are reading from other boxing fans that Bute beat tomato cans, and he stay only in Montréal and stuff and when we tried to explain to them that the fights in Montréal was mainly for business purpose and not because Bute dont want to fight elsewhere and then when we read a Kessler's fan saying the same we are somewhat doubtful about it. Bute ducked everyone, he fight at home, he fear everyone, and then when Kessler choose the WBO over Bute, he is making a business decision, you see what I mean?

Nobody has said that Stieglitz is as good as Bute! Stop creating myths!

Showtime and Kessler has a very good relationship, and Kessler becoming WBO champion will only make him more marketable in future matchups for Showtime.

Yeah, but Showtime understand that this is business. Kessler/Sauerland has nothing to do with Showtimes contract with Bute/Interbox and it is possible to match Bute against a credible/name opponent not named Kessler after Mendy (Johnson, Pavlik or maybe Pascal).

Nah. The problem has been Bute's fans saying that noone but clubfighters has been available. That is what triggers me at least.

I am well aware that it makes business sense for Bute to fight lesser opposition as long as the public is willing to pay, but there is a sporting side to this as well that should tell even his promotors that it's high time for Bute to build some kind of legacy and not only his bankaccount.

This is where you sound like a broken record over and over again... You pretend that Bute and Interbox hasn't wanted to fight the best competition at 168lbs and not leave home in the last 2 years but you know it's a lie, yet you keep coming back with that again and again...as if you're trying to convince more people that ignore the true situation.

The S6 has completely left them out cold, nonetheless, the following is still factual :

In 2007, Carl Froch refused to fight Bute in an eliminator that would have went to purse bids, therefore could land anywhere.

Prior to the S6, they agreed to fight Carl Froch in Nottingham but Bute decided he wanted to immediately rematch Andrade because he was shitted on by everyone to do that rematch ASAP. So Golden Boy won the purse bid to make Andrade-Bute II. Guess what ? They elected to fight in Quebec because of economics again.... They easily could have made it in California if they wanted to....just like Hopkins vs Pascal could have been in the US but they wanted to make more money fighting in Montreal...once again !

In 2009, Interbox had agreed to meet Jermain Taylor in the US on HBO but Froch ended up beating Taylor and put an end to that...

Last year, Interbox had a deal in place to face Kelly Pavlik in Atlantic City on HBO but Martinez beat Pavlik and HBO said no more fight...

    Sartison refused to unify belts.

    Stieglietz refused to unify belts.

All facts that you continously dodge on purpose. You act like a total hyppocrit !!

you just gave credence to those thinking Kessler should have a belt as a leverage and its why it is ok to be fighting Stieglitz first.

To repeat my broken record, although it's not relevant to this thread at all, let me just say that Bute didn't want Kessler when he was available before the S6 and he didn't want Pascal when he called him out. So there has been opportunities, but Interbox chose the better business by collecting millions without facing any real danger.

Thanks, I should copy paste that, it's a chore always trying to put that each time someone forget the past.

Kessler never tried to land that fight...we have explained before..don't lie again !

Pascal, yes they decided not to move up and should have knowing what happened since. They decided to stay at 168lbs, so at that weight there's no one they didn't try to land that was available.

Ironically, facing less danger is exactly what Sauerland chooses to do now with Kessler.....

I never saw any promotion for Bute-Kessler by Sauerland. Being that Bute is in your avy, it seems that your response is a bit convoluted. I'll see what Kessler fans are saying about this.

Winning against Stieglitz won't give him much leverage.

you said he dont have a belt, and fighting Stieglitz gives him that.
