Is this still planned to go under Hopkins-Dawson and held in Canada? Really good fight.

Bloody hell jean has had a tough run of opponents.

    Froch
    2 x diacanou
    Branco
    Dawson
    2 x hopkins
    Erdei

The guy is showing a real warriors mentality. This is an excellent crossroads fight between pascal who had a decent spell as number 1 and erdei who was the champion for 5 years.

I think erdei takes this. Even tho he hasn't faced the marquee names he's very fundamentally sound and not afraid to mix it up.

It's about time Erdei fought a decent opponent. His record is abysmal.

I'd much prefer to see the talked about Pascal-Cloud fight but this would be a solid second choice. Its too bad Erdei was happy to hang out in Germany and go on a pretty poor title run when he was at his peak. He was a good fighter but seemed happy to go on one of the weakest title runs, for a run that long, that I can think of. I would have liked to seen him matched up with some of the other best lightheavies of the last 6-7 years. Credit to Pascal who seems to be willing to face the best fight in and fight out.

Was nothing about being happy in Germany, Erdei, Kotelnik, Sidorenko and Dzinziruk all fought whatever Universum put in front of them according to the contact. Once that was over they all happily stepped up with Zsolt being the most successful as he won a CW belt semi-out of Universum. Still those ****ers try to s(l)ave whatever left, think the completely sensless beef with Golovkin. They can't build a show around GGG as German TV wouldn't put down the money but they insist to have him under control. Why?

Pascal's promoter had said that he hasn't received any approach regarding this figh but he'd be open to making it happen.

Good fight if it happens - a chance for Erdei to do something relevant at long last.

Pascal's jaw will need to heal first. Nobody talks about it but his jaw is not doing so well.

Him beating a decent enough cruiser like Fragomeni while giving away close to 20 pounds just highlights that Erdei should have been mixing it up with the best lightheavyweights instead of the guys he did fight. Even if the blame for poor opponents for Erdei lies with Universum its still disappointing we didn't get to see how he would have fared with other top fighters. It might be a little late for him now but I still want to see him in with some good fighters while we can.

I'm far from a fan of Erdei but I think he was a good fighter and I would have liked to seen him face some good opposition instead of that awful title run he went on.

Good comeback win for Jean Pascal. Pascal by wide UD or mid rounds KO
