Looks like Kessler has no interest in fighting Bute

Kessler was on the Showtime broadcast to promote a future Bute vs Kessler fight. He came to Montreal for Bute vs Magee. He was supposed to fight Renan St-Juste, a southpaw to prepare for Bute in a tuneup.

Next thing you know, he decides to fight a righty in Bouadla in order to move up in the WBO ranks.

That's all factual, no matter what Bute fans or Kessler fans say. It's straight to the point !!

You can easily read between the lines...

 

Sauerland was in Montreal. Kessler was here too. They both said there were negociations for a fight against Bute. Kessler also said he would kick Bute's ass in Montreal. He even said the Bouadla fight would be his last in Denmark because he would big fights in North America after his tune up. It is only what I remember in a second. If you don't think that's promotion, what is it?

 

It's only one item missing to ask so big money. The WBO strap won't be enough to ask 6 to 8 millions per fight.

 

You're not telling us anything we haven't seen or read on this or any other site. I like both fighters. Straight to the point, but read between the lines. When did the promotion by Sauerland start? Second, was the fight supposed to happen?

What promotion by Sauerland ? No one here emphasizes on... if Sauerland started promoting a Kessler vs Bute fight. A promotion only starts when a fight is sealed anyways...

All we're saying is that serious negociations were on between the 2 camps. St-Juste as a tuneup in June and Bute in the fall. Showtimes was on it also to start hyping it because they brought Kessler on their broadcast in Montreal of all places. That's why he was there.

The fight was planned for the fall, possibly the same day as the S6 final.

 

I see where your coming from... But in general the Kessler fans in here has been very respectfull towards Bute, as far as I recall.
Fighters at this level dont fear anybody.
Kessler has made a name for himself and earned respect from the general boxing fan by fighting the best in the world and fought titledefences four times on foreign soil.

Bute has up until now made a name for himself fighting at home against the gatekeepers of the division. (I have no doubt that he wants to fight the best). How do you get the best?
1: Pay up: If the offer is high enough everybody travels.
2: Travel: Bute has a title, people fancy their chances to get that title.

As it is right now Bute needs Kessler a lot more than Kessler needs Bute.
I am ok with Kessler fighting Stieglitz for the WBO title. Bute is still there when Kessler is champion, and I have no doubt that they are bound to meet sometime in the short future if they both keeps winning.

All I'm saying is this. If nothing was signed, and everything was just talked about, why are posters inferencing things and trying to fill in the blanks with their own recycled site answers? Kessler did not even fight the guy he was supposed fight that would lead on to a fight with Bute.

 

Bute will get a big fight just be patient, geez.

I am only disrespectful towards crazy nuhugging Boot-stains. Not Bute himself who's a gentleman and a very exiting and talented boxer in need of a step up so we can see what he's made of.

 

The fight was expected, not signed, and now Sauerland turns its back on it..that's all.

If you're gonna fight a southpaw in Bute, doesn't it make sense to prepare against a southpaw ? When Sauerland chose Bouadla, their true desire to fight Bute next became suspect. Common sense... no ? I don't think other Bute fans have hinted to anything else....

 

Truth is even his most hardcore fans show more honesty and decency than most other fans on this board.
