Paul McCloskey update

Strangely enough regardless of their weight differences, Johnson and McCloskey can be made. Let's face it, it will be an amazingly choreographed dance off!!! give them some mc hammer pants as well.

 

He lost all six rounds, landed one punch, got hurt in the 6th just before the clash and didnt complain about the stoppage till the post fight conference.

My opinion : He would of lost either by UD or late stoppage, if he actually applied himself more in the first 6 then he should of done it. He complains about not 'getting his chance', well **** me there would be at least another 100 boxers out there who would kill for a title shot and ****ing tried alot harder.

Go beat Maidana then come back and ask for a rematch. If Khan beats Judah and signs to fight Bradley after, then Paul has no chance of facing him again and its his own fualt.

Yeah it was a soft stoppage but ive seen worse, its boxing, move on.

Stop being so dramatic. It was a bad stoppage, McCloskey should have had the opportunity to fight on. Common sense and logic says he would have lost that fight regardless. If Man United are beating Stoke 3-0 at half time controlling the game and the match is abandoned, the safe assumption to make is that Man U would have won. Sure, it was possible that Stole could have scored 4 goals in the second half and won the game, but you'd be an imbecile to think that would happen. Just like you'd be an imbecile to think McCloskey would have won that fight had it continued.

 

If I am to be honest it didn't look as though McCloskey was getting stronger and Khan was actually beginning to set his shots better and land on Paul. Although I can't say for certainty but I think Paul was on his way to getting beat worse in the last 6 rounds than the first, and may well have got stopped a few rounds later. There is only so much your stamina can take whilst your violently using upper body movement to evade punches. That is no way to conserve energy and come on strong later. He would really have had to dig deep in the last 6 and get busy throwing punches.

 

youve summed it up pretty well. I get pissed off with fighters complaining about bad stoppages when they done near enough **** all to show they can pull the upset.

 

Maidana would murder him. Even Devon Alexander would humiliate him

 

the simple fact is:

He done jack **** in his chance he was given. He lost every round, and they wernt even close. To say he would of knocked out Khan in later rounds when he was tired is stupid, even Maidana couldnt do that in the 10th or 11th.
