In the first stages of the Reid fight the referee was corrupt beyond belief, but after that Reid did little and Ottke took the fight.
i don't think the points read were that bad. it was mainly that round that when reid dropped ottke but it was given a foul and 10-8 reid became 10-8 ottke.
Overall I agree. The first fight Beyer was lucky that Green was so dumb. If Green wouldn´t have headbutted him, he would have stopped Beyer on cuts. But the headbutt was the way out for Sauerland, the excuse they needed. Dumb move. And it wasn´t even something illegal or crooked but all according to the rules. I had Beyer winning handily the second time around 8 rounds to 4 but Reid had him down in the last so it was closer on my cards. I liked Beyer though. Him and Rocky were the blue collar, underdog fighters still left after boxing got mainstream in Germany. Well, his reputation should be, his standing and ranking shouldn´t. I hate that guy, he gave German boxing a black eye that will never ever vanish - and he is an arrogant ******* - what you get from interviews and stuff.

Its the Reid fight that really messed up his legacy-it was a disgrace and its a shame because at the top of his game he was a pretty smart well schooled boxer who used alot of tricks.
