A lot of comments from a few posters should not get you all worked up. I know that is hard though. Every fighter has critics. The Kessler critics is the worst ;)

Nobody's worked up, It's a forum and we discuss. In a discussion, sometimes you just like to set the record straight, nothing else intended my friend ;)

You are probably the most touchy fan I've ever come across even though the competition is harsh.

I'm just pointing out that you get the highest ranking here in the hyppocrisy department, sometimes showing decency only to let your true colors rise up eventually... :yep

Don't take it personal either, I don't know you, maybe in real life we'd get along great but on this forum, I can only go by that to assess you up to now..

Don't worry though, I encourage you to keep on bitching about Bute and his opposition if you feel so compelled to do so and it makes you feel better...:good

Call it as you want. To come in Montreal to watch a fight, there has to be some serious possibilities. Then, when one of the promoters take a completely different way while bullshitting, I have the right to say it. nothing more, nothing less.

Sauerland is not playing fair. Pretending the Interbox offer is too low without even talking to them (they were waiting for an answer) is cheap. Especially when you know you're taking another way, before even receiving the offer.

P.S. you can call me naive. :D

The Bute fans on this thread seem really touchy about all of this. Ok, Bute is a talented fighter who wants to and deserves to step up to fight the best fights. However, not getting him into the super six was a big mistake. Can any of his fans advise exactly why he did not enter or was frozen out?

Anyway you want to look at it, Kessler is the proven fighter at 168 having fought a lot of the top men at the weight, including away from home. He also entered the super six! Patience is the key here. Bute fans must have known that after their fighter was not entered into the super six that they might have to wait to see their guy fight the best. Kessler fighting Stieglitz makes no difference to this. I don't think any of the SMW fighters are afraid of facing each other, so I'm sure the big fights we all want to see will get made.

Sorry Laffie this is naive. Like a lot of posters have already tried to explain it's all about the benjamins. Bute's team does not posses the kind of money that would get Kessler to fight in Canada. Sauerland does not have the kind of money that would get Bute to Denmark.

Bute fans only seem touchy if you've rarely been on Bute threads....

To answer your question, Ken Hershman was officially quoted to saying they never intended to invite Bute.

3 Europeans and 3 Americans....then 1 American down replaced by another American... then 1 more American down replaced by another American.

If you would have consistently been around the forum for the past 2 years, you would easily conclude that his fans were always respectful of all other fighters, understood the situation and simply clarified it honestly.

If someone doesn't know about something, he can come up if an opposing opinion to what truly happens, but when some guys know facts and repeat idiocies over and over, some Bute fans simply correct the false statements. It sometimes comes off wrong...

I now rarely comment on Bute threads like this one because I often find it pointless. Can't speak for others though...

Totally right that no fighter is afraid of another, promoters are responsible for fights being made or not 90% of the time.

I'm a Bute fan. I wish that the Kessler fight could be made so finally Bute could fight a big name. I also wish Bute would be in the S6, wich hyped the fighters who are in it (some deserved it, some others... not really). I'm pretty sure Bute would have done well in the tournament by beating most of them. Ward does REALLY impress me though. To bad that Bute can not fight those big names during that tournament, really too bad because Bute is an excellent boxer and every boxing fan would also like him to face the best while he is in his prime.

I think the major shame then is that Bute could not have been entered into the super six. Even when Taylor or Dirrell pulled out it would have been great to get him in there. I think the fights will happen for Bute. Say if Ward beats Froch then there is that option if Kessler will not face him, and they can make a deal stick. And no matter what happens you know Froch will take on all comers, so I'm sure a fight with him could be made at some point. I think the SMW division is the most exciting in boxing right now, with most of the best fighters willing, and able to face off. It's just a shame for Bute and his fans that he was marginalised earlier on. However, I think Kessler has every right to take the route he choses, as he has earned it with his strong resume.

The fact that the tournament is way longer than planned doesn't help Bute fans to be more patient. Wthout injuries, for example, one big name would have been available 6 months ago for Bute: Froch or Dirrell. The other fact not helping is the way some people on this board write about him. I personnally cant wait for Bute to prove how he's good.

It's one thing to say: let the haters hate but every single new poster take what the haters write for some God word. I'll probably stop posting when I'm fed up, like many Bute fans.

I thank you for the very respectful way you wrote your posts.

No worries, I've spent quite a lot of time in Canada so know people are respectful and friendly. I do rate Bute, and I look forward to seeing him face off against the other top guys in the SMW division. It will happen eventually, but I can understand his fan's frustrations, whilst I also understand that Kessler has the right to take the path he choses, as he has proven his stature.

«Bute, 30, fought two fights in a row on Showtime, in late 2008 and early 2009, but he was not invited to join the Super Six when Hershman put it together in July 2009. Hershman said his exclusion was nothing against Bute. He said the tournament was very difficult to put together and "the only way to get five promoters and six fighters on the same page was within the existing relationships I had. It wasn't that I didn't think [Bute and Bedard] were worthy or trustworthy. I just didn't have the depth of the relationship I had with the others.»
