McAllister is the Paulie Malignaggi of Scotland, Except he never won a world title and doesnt have the personality or charisma of Malignaggi, He has Malignaggis power.

The guy is a joker that fights unknown Africans that no-one has heard about.

I think its slightly harsh on Lee here. Sure, hes not fighting the best but I think fighters should be praised for fighting the best, not completly torn a new one for fighting bums. Anyway its hardly ideal for him either, he probably knows sod all about the guy and the guy could be pretty good.

    Still a poor opponent.

Hes making a good living for himself, so you canna grudge him that, can you?

What he is doing is bringing over unknown Africans who are dubbed "mandatory" challengers to his title, He then takes them to a tiny venue called the beach ballroom in Aberdeen his hometown, Dances around the ring for 12 rounds because he has zero power to stop anyone and gets a hometown decision.

I think that should be condemned not applauded.

I'm not applauding him for his win. It does nothing in my eyes but gets him some cash. I'm not grudging it.

I think his punching is underrated to be fair though.

I was there, had a decent night despite the poor opponents/lack of undercard. Lee needs to mstep it up, he isnt getting any younger and his best win is probably against Craig Docherty.

I thought Gary Cornish was okay, got caught a few times but seemed to be using his size properly for the most part.

The opponents down to the manager/matchmaker,to be fair to Lee he'd sell Aberdeen out to a one armed blind guy so good luck to him, hope he steps it up next time and tests himself coz the only person of note hes fought he got stopped by.

the question remains though, why is he getting to hold on to his 135 title seeing as he hasn't defended it in 15 months?

he was genuinely injured for most of the time so i think that is considered, on him having both commonwealth belts i'm sure he will have to give up one or the other.

Read in today paper some funny stuff in todays paper from McAllister, apparently he could of knocked out this african warrior (my description, not his) any time he wanted but chose not to because he wanted to get the rounds in. What a load of bollocks, McAlillister has always been all talk, its amazing how he can rack up a career of 35 fights and has won the commenwealth title at 2 different weight yet has only fought at british level once. This is maybe not all his fault but some of the blame must lie with him as well as Gilmour and whoever his previous promoter was.

Haha, I thought he "hurt his hand"

If you beleived what it said in the papers, then Lee's eyeing up bouts with Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales and hes gonna try sell out pittodrie stadium in his next fight. Every time they say "its leading to soemthing bigger and better" but it never really is and it can be tedious and dissapointing.
