That Ibragimov fight hurt Wlad's US market badly, fair or not. There was a pretty damn big hype goin in to that fight for it to turn out the way it did.

On top of the major boxing lesson and a beating he administered to Lenox. If
I was Lewis I would never show my face anywhere in the public after this kind of humiliation.

I think its jealousy. With most champs in the past, at least fans can say to themselves "im smarter than this guy or im better looking than this guy" things of this nature. But with these guys people feel very threatened because most people dont measure up, in any way at all in comparison.

If Mayweather wasnt a trash talking hoodrat poser and pieceof**** human being, he would likely be vastly more popular

Tyson coming out with ******ed stuff here.

Wouldn't matter where Wlad was from he'd be boring to watch.

  9. A **** in the ring maybe, nothing wrong with that in my book. Hell, it's not like he's a serial ****** or murderer outside of the ring.

I agree. The "bum of the month" club was Louis' invention. Joe was so good he made his competition look bad. But some of his opponents might have been champs in other eras. Same with the Klitschkos.

Not really thats where half his appeal and generation of hype comes from, maybe popular in terms of actually being legitimately liked as a person, but not in terms of ticket/ppv sales.

Assuming Lewis got into shape for a rematch, he'd beat Vitali even worse than the unprepared version did.

Assuming Lewis was shot, then Vitali would have beaten an old man. Irrelevant win.

Of course, it's clear that you think Lewis should have fought on until he got beat. Had he beaten Vitali again, you'd say "Wlad ran him out :yep" and if he beat Wlad twice, maybe then Vitali would be 'better than ever' and Lewis would be scared of him? Whatever suits your agenda.

A Lewis in poor shape and unprepared beat Vitali cleanly. A rematch would only be easier for him or Vitali would beat a shot opponent.

What Mike actually meant was that IF the Klit girls were American fighters, perhaps they would not be so stiff and boring, in a Russian kind of way.
Perhaps he is correct, but we shall never know since both girls are in fact, stiff, boring, steroid soaked Russians.
