Choose one and explain why it would have been the fight you'd most want to see from this list.

Splitting Calzaghe's world championship level career into two broad parts:

At any time 1997-2003 approx, at 168 or 175

    1 Calzaghe vs Steve Collins
    2 Calzaghe vs Sven Ottke
    3 Calzaghe vs Dariusz Michalczewski
    4 Calzaghe vs Frankie Liles
    5 Calzaghe vs Michael Nunn
    6 Calzaghe vs Sugarboy Malinga
7 Calzaghe vs Robin Reid (immediate rematch)
    8 Calzaghe vs Montell Griffin
    9 Calzaghe vs Markus Beyer
10 Calzaghe vs Roy Jones (prime)
11 Calzaghe vs Bernard Hopkins (prime)

At any time 2003-present, at 168 or 175

    12 Calzaghe vs Antonio Tarver
    13 Calzaghe vs Glen Johnson
    14 Calzaghe vs Jermain Taylor
    15 Calzaghe vs Winky Wright
    16 Calzaghe vs Kelly Pavlik
    17 Calzaghe vs Chad Dawson
    18 Calzaghe vs Carl Froch
    19 Calzaghe vs Tomasz Adamek
    20 Calzaghe vs Clinton Woods
    21 Calzaghe vs Zsolt Erdei

(if he hadn't chose to retire when he did: )
    22 Calzaghe vs Andre Ward
    23 Calzaghe vs Lucian Bute
    24 Calzaghe vs Tavoris Cloud
    25 Calzaghe vs Jean Pascal
    26 Calzaghe vs Andre Dirrell
    27 Calzaghe vs Robert Stieglitz

What's the one you'd have loved to see above all others? :bbb

1 collins.Collins beat the other so called british GREATS with ease.would have been nice to see whether joe could get a victory over a clever box fighter just like himself.i think joe takes it 7-5 or 8-4

    Prime Roy
    Rematch with Hopkins
Joe loses both, but would of gotten more respect. Maybe even a trilogy with Hopkins would of been great.

I have to agree Silencer. Popkins/Kittikasem does have a weird obsession for somebody he slates constantly.
No doubt this is all some weak build up due to the hurt that Calzaghe beat Hopkins

I saw all I needed to see in his fight with a past-prime Hopkins. Anyone who scored that fight for Calzaghe clearly didn't WATCH the fight properly.

Hopkins made Calzaghe look like a fool and a complete amateur. For someone to get continually tagged with right hand leads is embarassing. Joe himself looked embarrassed after the fight.

Saying Calzaghe won that fight is the same as saying Oscar beat Mayweather. Both Oscar and Calzaghe looked like they were throwing more, but they landed nothing. On top of that the judges clearly didn't see Hopkins' inside work either. On another note, at least Oscar was throwing punches. Calzaghe can't even claim to be a boxer. Slaps should never count.

Maybe the judges did see it, but everything looked predetermined. Just look at Frank ****** and his face BEFORE the judges scorecards were announced. He knew the slapper would get the decision. A complete sham.

Joe's slapping style is a disgrace to boxing. I'm sure a lot of boxers would increase their work-rate if they just threw around pitty-patty slaps.

I have ZERO respect for Calzaghe the fraud.

Nigel Benn v Cal would have been entertaining! Cal would have won easily but there would have been plenty of action.

Regarding your list Cal would have beaten all of them and only a fight against Ottke would have been boring!

Adamek would have been quite competitive at a catchweight of 180lbs. 175 was not Adamekl's best weight (his hands alone must weight about 20lbs! They are huge!!)
