I don't know wether that is his first name or if it is a middle name/ nickname that they use.

His defence is not great. Not seen him fight A fast fighter yet. Dirrell would beat him imo. You have to be first with him and catch him running in. Lack of power is his weakness. Solid all rounder but I don't think his outside game is anything special

I was starting to lean towards Dirrell against Ward.

But Dirrell worries me as to wether he likes a fight.

Think if Ward started roughing him up he would probably throw his toys outta the pram.

Ward would just beat Dirrell up.

Dirrell is a lot taller than Ward and faster. Not to mention clearly a harder puncher. Better athlete all around. Would be a great fight.

Yeah I agree that stylistically (from what we've seen so far at least) Dirrell beats Ward.

This is what I was saying. On Styles alone I think Dirrell wins but he just hasn't got the fight in him.

His weak, very weak compared to Carl Froch.

This fight won't come down to boxing skill for Carl Froch, after afew rounds he will just walk forward. And he will pound Andre Ward, on the arms, to the body, head wherever until he quits.

"He will pound him, and hit him off the court"

He has zero power, his timing will do nothing for him in this fight.

This will be a easy fight for Carl Froch.

Well, he doesn't really have many does he. Andre is one of the most complete fighters in the game today, part of a small group of active fighters with genuine ATG/HOF qualities and skills. The kid is just so polished and so you have to scrape the barrel just to mention something he's not so accomplished at. I don't know why people go on about his power or lack of it, he definitely has enough to keep you honest and his offensive arsenal, shot selection, timing and variety which is off the charts makes up for any lack of genuine one punch knockout power.

If i had to mention one thing then it's already been mentioned by Mandanda and Will. Ward is brillient at smothering and disarming opponents by closing distance quickly, sliding under big shots and grabbing and turning. This is usually a strength he does it so well, but it can be a flaw against the wrong opponent. What happens when you close and grab like that is you are susceptible to punches coming from underneath or anything that comes from your direct line of sight. When Ward grabs there can be a small window for someone who has the tools to throw the right punches and has the timing to get it through. What you need is a Nonito Donaire/Oscar De La Hoya-esque hybrid left hook rather then a Carl Froch uppercut which as Mand. has said Ward will see coming from a mile off. I would actually give Bute more of a chance of landing such a punch. Bute has a sneaky, short uppercut, which has quick release and DOES come from underneath.

Froch is really gonna have to fight the fight of his life to beat Ward and then even that might not be enough. Some people use to argue with me and say that Ward couldn't fight backwards or from distance, but i hope they've been silenced after the Abraham display. Ward as i've been saying for ages now can fight so many different ways and he can beat Froch in whichever style he chooses. He can counter punch him or smother and disarm him on the inside.

Ward has that special quality of processing info and ad******g to his opponent quickly. It's his ring generalship that really allows him to do this and it's just insane. He has qualities and smarts that only fighters of vast experience possess, he's got it while being in his physical prime and you don't see that often.

Andre may not be Roy Jones type of dynamic and therefore not spectacular to some, but he's a winner and i also think the better the opponent the better he'll look. For that reason he needs to be in big fights more often then not IMO.

It's gonna take a much more athletic and dynamic fighter or someone with a combination of more physicality and athleticism to beat him.
