I find it kind of amusing how many people have bought into David Haye's hype. Some think he is a live opponent, while others have even gone so far as to say he will win.

For those that give him more of a chance than say Peter or Chambers, what exactly makes you think this? Is it his vast level of experience he has acquired fighting heavyweights? Is it because of his destruction of Harrison? Maybe because he was able to avoid a slow, plodding giant for 12 rounds. I would really like to know what it is.

Is it because of his CRUISERweight resume? Why??? What has he accomplished that puts him in Wlads class as a heavyweight? P4P, maybe he's in the same ballpark, but he has done NOTHING at heavyweight to be thought of in the same breath as wlad, at least not in the heavyweight division. Wlad only wants to fight him for the $$$. What will it do for wlads resume when he KO's Haye? "he beat up a cruiserweight...good for him".

Please, if someone could elaborate on why they give him a chance here, other than his silly threats and big mouth, id love to hear it.

I'm not a fan of the guy at all...

but at least he defeated Valuev and Ruiz, and not many have done this.
    just sayin.

seriously though, I will enjoy seeing him lose.

kinda like spinks beating holmes? I honestly see this as a replay of the Tyson vs Spinks fight anyways. Spinks was even Ring Champion, wasnt he? I can remember there was quite a bit of hype, he was undefeated, then he met a true heavyweight, with a superheavyweight punch, and it was simply no contest. Wlad is obviously a very different fighter than Tyson, but at the end of the day, wlad is a heavyweight, a damn good one, and haye is not.

Because he's actually a decent fighter who comes in shape and has handspeed and KO power. You can't say the same for any of the other current HW's who are generally fat, out-of-shape , and have zero boxing skills.

with that being said, is he a decent cruiserweight with handspeed and KO power, or a heavyweight. Again, they said the same **** about Spinks (whom I believe is vastly superior to Haye) and look what happened to him.

Wlad is not old. he is not punch drunk. and he is not slow. He is the opposite of all Hayes opponents at heavyweight. But wlad has fought guys that were in shape, fast, and with one-punch KO power.

I bet Haye himself doesnt even give himself much chance, and has already prepared his speech for after he loses!

yeah your right, haye is nothing, an absolute bum, acheived nothing, beat bums, wtf is the cruiserweight division anyway? who cares about winning titles away from home also? ****ing disgrace to boxing. go home david gaye you suck and cant box and obviously know **** about boxing if you think you can even touch wlad cos hes amazing.

wlad is unbeatable and should be considered the GOAT, his loses dont even count because he was having relationship problems and was drugged and the ref was corrupt, if you dont agree then you dont know **** about boxing.

Wlad is also really funny and stuff.

haye is gay, wlad is rad etc etc etc etc

    moron.

Spinks had HW power? If you think his chances are equaled to recent Peter and Chambers than you lack imagination or just don't understand boxing. Chambers is a fast but feather-fisted fighter that likes to fight in the pocket and just stood right in front of Wlad and got slaughtered. A stylistically awful matchup.

you nailed it on the head...umm...moron? CRUISERWEIGHT. what has ther man done at heavyweight to think he has a chance to beat wlad. others have beaten both valuev and ruiz (old, sick and slow fighters...even golota beat ruiz when he was younger). please explain to me, without sarcasm, why you think haye has a chance. i really dont think its possible though, without ridiculing the question and then outwardly avoiding it!

Ruiz? Puh-leez. He's been beaten MANY times - including by two former middleweights!! And he would have lost even more fights if the refs had properly enforced the rules and DQ'd him for excessive holding.

why do you think haye has HW power? what has he done to make you think this? the only fight he clearly demonstrated it was against audley. was that even a fight?

Haye is an exceptional self-promoter. He's very good at getting people to drink the Kool-Aid - as evidenced by all the ESB members who sincerely believe he will beat Wlad with ease. The reality will be much harder to swallow.

Are you disparaging Spinks? Are you for ****ing real??? The same Spinks that beat a near-prime ****ing Larry Holmes? and a near-prime ****ing Gerry Cooney?

Putting Spinks in the same category as David Haye is blatantly juvenile(as in you know nothing of boxing).

Haye is going to get destroyed here.

david haye is not michael spinks.
