the judges at the time had mayweather 6 points and 8 points up 88-82, and 2 scores of 89-81, clean shots were all floyd cant remember many clean shots from ricky, floyds slip was made out to be a massive shot although he tried hard. he only ever lost 2 the 2 top guys now floyd and pac.

And against Pac, he countered him to pieces in the 2nd before lunging in.

I've got a little theory about you. You like to roleplay.

Most days you are Chris Eubank. Today you are Ricky Hatton. Bravo sir.

    By a country mile! :)

No but seriously, he was countering the lb4lb #1 very well in the last round of his career.

It was just losing his head and lunging in that cost him every KD in his career. He didn't need to lunge in wildly, he clearly had the skill not to.

Problem with Hatton is he never learnt the art of transitioning from the outside into his favored range defensively. Offensively he did it very well, his feet were good. But.His hands were invariably pretty low, presumably so he could see the punches coming and openings as he made his way in. So his chin hung out. But I'm not sure the trade off was a good one, because he didn't move his head spectacularly either. Especially as the bout progressed, he became a sitting duck. I think this is why he held a lot as well, he was very anxious about having to reset.

Hey, ho. No matter what adjustments he made, he beat the fighters he was good enough to beat and lost to the fighters he wasn't good enough to beat.

thought hatton beat collazo by 1 point 114-113 , the knockdown was the difference
