im with you on that! think Alvarez is a good fighter and Ryan has got better no doubt but i cant help feel that age will play a certain effect on the end result.....along with the potential heat draining his energy....but he'll put up a good fight for sure.

roach is calling for vanes/alvarez for the umpteenth time.

how often has roach been wrong in the last five years?

canelo is an accident waiting to happen. gbp knows it, roach knows it, marquez knows it, hbo knows it...

i can't believe there are so many canelo backers here on esb.

Very tough fight for young Alvarez, proper test that will answer some questions and ask a few new ones, this fight makes or breaks ESPN's prospect of the year curse.

I'm glad people give Rhodes credit he can box and he can bang too and he, as a former MW and SMW never to lose at 154, will be at a clear physical advantage over Alvarez who never fought at full 154 just decided to compete there when Don Jose Sulaiman gifted him a belt.

THIS is Alvarez' title shot as far as I'm concerned, if he beats Rhodes he's a legit champ, if not, back to the drawing board and possibly to 147. Gonna be decided in a banger.

I think this is spot on.

This is the fight where people know whether Canelo is hype or legit. If he passes with flying colours, he will undoubtedly go on to big things. If he struggles, then there may be a few changes before he can realize his potential.

It's a risky fight for Alvarez, so you have to give him a lot of recognition for that. He's fighting one of the best 154lbers in the world, regardless of what people who haven't seen Rhodes think.

So what weaknesses do people see in Canelo? I see chin as the major one. He's pretty easy to hit and was hurt badly by Cotto's little brother.

He has been on my Glass Jaw Prospect list for a while now. Rhodes is from the UK though so who knows what kind of Chin he has though if History is any indication it is probably complete glass also. I like fights like this.

Roach is Arum's biatch dude, he may be right this time, but even if Canelo was the next Salvador Sanchez he would still be saying that he sux

Canelo by UD Or Late TKO....

This is a very tough fight for canelo... and with this win he is the legitimate champion at 154.

    Can't wait.

Alvarez does not have a glass jaw... Seriously these chin checkers are stupid they said before that a glass jawed canelo would have hit the floor and not recovered so it was a good jaw... now he is in the prospects they are the stupidest group on ESB by far.
