I havent seen enough of Williams to comment there... the footage of Leonard is utterly dire... Im not sure there even is footage of Gans & Id bet my life its **** poor if there is any... Whitaker might be able to, it would be a great fight, I lean a little towards Duran... Mosely is far too open, Duran would **** him up.
While I belive in a prime vs prime match up Between Tyson and Ali, that Tyson would win. An older more savy Ali could beat Tyson with the right strditgy.
* Like Sal, I think Duran-Leonard 1 was over-rated. And, while I won't argue the official result, I still think it's a hell of a lot closer than most people on this site. (8-6-1, at absolute most). * If you put Micheal Spinks against any of Murderer's Row of LH's that fought in the 40's (e.g. Moore, Marshall, Charles, Bivens) in a best two of three series, he winds up being the victor in the series each time. And he scores at least one knockout in the series over everyone he faces.
Nigel Benn was very flawed and overrated.. Had too many tough fights with mediocre guys.. .. He fought the fight of his life vs Mccellan and would have Mccellan knocked him out on any other night(almost did) , .. And would have had his hands full if he didnt jump on Barkley and catch him cold... He must have got up for americans . Delahoya vs WHittaker wasnt even that close.. Had Delahoya by 4 points.. After watching it numerous times the closes i could come up with was a 3 point card for Oscar. Duran scared Hagler. -I scored Arreola-Adamek a draw During Georges 2nd career the majority of his power punches were just big heavy thumps.. He had to catch you just righ to put you out... Saw too many so so chined guys take big shots from him and yet still keep coming.... Stewart,Morrison,Moorer(before the big one),Savarese. not to mention countless tomato cans or journeyman...Dwight Qawi was super tough LH .. but comeon he was a fat,old 5-6 midget who was laughing at Georges best shots. Probably all of the of the Great fighters from the Pre depression era would get blown out fast, and the steel chinnedtough ones would only last a little longer, with the ref, doctor, corner ending it. AT JW no one beats a prime Oscar,, I got alot more but those should either suprise or **** some people off.
I agree with you on both comments... .. And im a huge Duran fight and thinks he would have probably beaten any ww that night.. But Leonard fought great too i thought itw was very close... Duran by 1 or 2 points.
Which part gets the little blue head shaking the most ? Me not having seen enough Ike Williams or calling the footage of Leonard & Gans **** poor ? :think
WOW :admin:admin Cooper beats Ali Tua beats Ali Tyson beats Ali George Foremans the better fighter Ali not top 10 heavyweight Maybe im watching a different fighter. I do agree that he is NOT a top 3 p4p fighter Ok, here goes 1 or 2 for me, Bruno is waaaay overated as a puncher McGuigan gives Nelson all he wants in '85, anything after Nelson wins clearly Prime for prime Holyfield is more than capable of beating Marciano Ingo has a top 5 right hand, maybe top 3
Leonard Duran was a maul/mugging.I thought the Arguello/ Pryor fight was exciting. My unpopular opinion? Dempsey kos Louis inside 3 rds.
If you don't happen to rate Ali in the top 3,then fair enough. It's all about opinion, after all. I think where you're wrong is stating that anyone who DOES rate him that high, does n't know boxing history. There's an extremely strong case form rating Muhammad that high. If you don't know why........then you don't know YOUR boxing history
