wait ward puts on a boxing masterpiece?

all of his fights have been ugly head butt and clinch filled affairs

    i see and ugly fight

ward does his usual and froch doesnt take his crap

ultimatley i feel ward emerges the victor but it will be ugly

When you speak about skills, either offensive or defensive, you always think about fluid movement and speed of execution, body balance, reflexes. You never consider punching power and strength factors - that's why Froch would never have been able to beat Calzaghe, Hopkins or Andre Ward for that matter. You gat to be stupid to compete physically with a guy when you have so many technical and natural advantages over him.

Well there all concidered skills, trates or what ever? i thought that Dirrel had the best of all those things you described, i even had him favorite to win the super six, speed, agility, balance fluid movement, all of which are great..until you get punched in the face really hard......com'on Carl!!!

I dont think froch has a chance against ward. Ward will just jab, move backwards and clinch, with the odd combo thrown in. Do you call that a masterclass?? huh, they guy has a ugly style for most of the time and i doubt he even hurts froch at all

My thoughts are if Ward tries the same **** he did to Kessler on Froch, Froch will hold him, throw his head into him, use that uppercut on him and make his night very painful.

Ward needs to box pure from the outside to win this and hope he can keep Froch off him. I think if he does the same tactics as Kessler, he gets KOed late.

i didnt read the whole thread yet, I'm just answering the first post and I find it hard to agree with you. I think it's a Ward (65%), Froch (35%) fight, you think its a Ward (100%), Froch (0%) fight and I think you push it.

I agree, 5,11 isn't that much of a challenge to Froch, he will find it very easy to control the fight, SOG will become frustrated on the out side and resort to charging in with the head..frochs upper cut will be the reward for that..depending on the ref.

It is a tough call. Froch may have a goofy looking style at times but IMO, hes better on the outside than anyone Wards been in with.

One thing Froch seems to have given upon is fighting in the clinches. Thats what I thought won him the fight with Dirrell and the reason I thought he was going to beat Kessler but I'm not sure he threw any punches in the clinh with Kessler and not many against Johnson inside either. Hes going to need to do it against ward, hopefully he recognizes that.

if arthur abraham can give Ward hell for 4 rounds, you don't think Froch can give him hell for more, you got to remember Ward has only fought guys in this tournament that stand right in front of him. Kessler,Green,Abraham. Froch has got a bit of movement, can fight on the outside, I don't think Ward can force an inside fight against Froch, if he does we will see a fight reminiscent of Dirrell/Froch and it will be a huge letdown. This fight should be in England, its what Froch deserves, Ward has had all fights at home, jet lag makes a huge difference in stamina.

Froch lost against Kessler because he fought Kessler toe to toe and kessler got the better of him, he should have boxed more
