"I think it's kind of a measuring stick, but then again, what killed the Manny fight [random Olympic-style blood and urine testing] everyone already knows, so if that one thing that has killed the fight two times already doesn't happen, chances are no matter how many southpaws Floyd fights, the fight won't happen. At the end of the day, Manny doesn't need Floyd nor does Floyd need Manny"

That to me is the 2nd statement made by the Mayweather's indicating Floyd want none of PAC and will retire fight tune-ups make money then retire again. If they really wanted that fight they could make a compromise and accept the 7 day cut-off and make gazillion amount of money but they kept insisting about this drug-testing ****. To all *****S, enjoy this Ortiz fight cause it's gonna be a while before you can see your hero fights again :deal:deal:deal

This, in addition to Uncle Roger saying Floyd would be crazy to go straight into the Pac fight after Ortiz, further convinces me that this fight won't happen any time soon, if ever. Not to mention, Arum seems to be making plans already in signing Bradley - touting him as a likely opponent for Pac after JMM.

Seems both sides are content with not facing each other, and going their seperate ways.

I disagree with his explanation of what killed the fight but he is a little bit right about that they need eachother, although you can argue that floyd needs manny to save face.

Why do these Mayweathers keep giving statements to the press trying to destroy the fight.

Because people keep asking them questions. I rather hear them speak their mind then say no comment etc.

They're acting on behalf of Floyd cause all of them knows Floyd doesn't wanna fight PAC plain and simple :deal

Floyd - "I dont have the urge"
Jeff - "Floyd doesnt need Manny"
Roger - "Its crazy for Floyd to Fight Manny after Ortiz"
Sr. - "My son will never fight that man"

Pretty obvious that the Mayweathers dont want no part of Pacquiao at all.

This is the stupidest comment Jeff has ever made. That is basically condoning that the best dont have to fight the best.

Jeff is right. Those guys don't need to fight each other. They'll still be just as rich and famous. Its us fans who want to see it. Its obvious that neither fighter cares that much about fighting the other.

Maybe or Maybe not who knows for sure. I am just saying if they get ask a question I rather hear them speak their mind instead of saying no comment. Although, sometimes they go off the wall with their statements.

Am I the only one thats tired of interviewers asking everyone related to boxing about pac vs floyd when they get interviewed, its like they add that question so that more people are interested in reading the whole story.

I agree. As you can see most of the interview was about Celestino Caballero but the headline was about Floyd and Pac :patsch

And post the comments that Pac, Arum and Roach make...they say the exact same thing. And didn't Floyd Sr. just say Manny was going to be after Ortiz?

But I'm sure you believe Manny is really afraid of blood and needles.

Neither guy wants the fight and both guys have convenient excuses to avoid it.
