Donaire wont be fighting Gamboa anytime soon, you can bet on that.

Donaire may not be fighting anyone at all. And if he does, he needs a tune up at 122 and 126 before taking on such a dangerous opponent.

Yes, because he feels he really cant make much money off of them.

I also feel like Arum thinks Gamboa is a considerable threat to Juanma.

I totally agree, Don~Aire has to first prove himself at 126 cause Yuriorkis is the strongest and the fastest 126 pounder on the planet. Jumping from 118 to 126 without any tune-ups and going straight for Gamboa will be kamikaze for him. Has he even fought at 122 yet? :huh

If he hasn't, I will recommend him to fight Rigondeaux first to see if he can beat him ( which I doubt it ), then later he can fight the Cuban kingPin Gamboa... :-(

Yeah, I like Donaire, but he would need to build up in weight before even thinking of Gamboa.

Well, I understand him somewhat but there is a very large Cuban population in South Florida. Also, there are many Boricuas and Mexicans that are starting to really like Gamboa so I don't understand Arum at all. I think that he is afraid that Gamboa will beat them all, including his favorite fighters! :good

Arum would lose his Puerto Rican market if he matched up Lopez with Gamboa. The shine is already off with Lopez, he can't afford to have any more dents.

He should try to get him fights in South Florida then, I dont see why he can't.

I can't imagine anyone of any race not liking him as he has skills, speed, power, and he can box/brawl. I dont think he's perfect, but he's still young, and he has a great pedigree.

Arum doesnt like him though, maybe because Gamboa is a little more outspoken about things than Lopez or the typical Top Rank fighter...

I really think Salido will finish him off in the rematch.

I'd like to see Gamboa vs. Chris John by the end of the year.

I think he should rematch Salido considering that he just came off of exposing JuanMa (that was karma giving Arum the finger for not making the match sooner.:yep), take his belt and unify with John.

I agree, Salido seems to have Lopez's number.

Hopefully Donaire packs some weight on that filipino ladyboy body and moves up to get overwhelemed by the superb Gamboa!

3 days ago Tony (Gamboa's attorney) said they are trying to get John for Gamboa's next fight. If it can't happen for the next fight, they still absolutely want John before the end of the year.

The thing is Gamboa has already his HBO date (september 10th) and I'm pretty sure John's camp will hide behind the famous "INDONESIA OR NOTHING".
