Which contender at 185 is closest to the top?

Munoz? No way. Out of the three listed he's clearly at the bottom.

I thought Munoz lost to Maia, and that fight was basically kickboxing match. Anderson would murder him, so would Vitor.

Bisping? He has no business ever getting a title shot.

 

Never has been the strongest division.

But normally you find elite level fighters at the top end of the sport fighting for world title's , thats one of the perks of MMA compared to boxing , and to think we are now having Yushin Okami and Mark Munoz being seen as the very best in the division sort of pisses me off a little .

Dont take this the wrong way , there excellent fighters , but top contenders , not for me !!!!

With Silva the UFC really need to start thinking outside the box and get some credible fights for him , he's not being tested

True maybe instead of waiting on gsp anderson should just go to 205 ..... at least for a challenge all his top contenders are garbage.

 

I don't think anyone gets to the title without going through Belfort or Sonnen first. I'd pick Mark Munoz as the one closest to being chosen for that chance. He put in solid work for a respectable win over Meia.

 

Stann and Bisping.

 

If Bisping beats Mayhem, he must surely get a shot.

But right now, I'd say Stann. He has been the most impressive of the three lately, and impact/recent form counts when it comes to landing title shots in the UFC.

 

If Palhares had an iron jaw he would take Anderson's leg back to the jungle and eat it

 

Not getting the hate for the middleweight division. I've thought its an underrated division for awhile, really cool blend of styles and personalities. Plus as a higher credentialed level of athlete than Welterweight or Lightweight.

 

That's what happens when the champion has a 4 year reign and 8 consecutive title defences

The MW division isn't that weak, the champ just makes it look that way.
