Mayweather Berto Ortiz

    If Berto would have won his fight against Ortiz would Mayweather have fought Berto? If so, how would that fight have been recieved by boxing fans?

    I think Floyd wanted Berto all along. Sorry, to the second part of your question, I think the fact Berto had such a tough fight with Collazo shows he is no top level operator, but he was recognised as being an undefeated champ and Floyd just loves taking the 0 of anyone with a name/status.

    I bet you're right, Berto would've been the easier fight plus would've taken the "0".

    It would have been a good sell, as bertos seen similar to ortiz as the young lion. Only ortiz is the stiffer challenge and had the harder comp by far. Collazo is very good, and could beat a lot of guys but that was only one test for berto.
