ok, so with the fight with HAYE and WLAD drawing ever closer how do you rate the feeling you are getting for the fight in comparisson to other mega fights???

i mean for me i was bouncing for the LEWIS vs TYSON bout, even tho it was 10 years too late.....

and likewise for the HATTON vs MAYWEATHER bout that was mental it was everywhere, with everyone saying, what you doing, where you watching it, we are having a party etc....everybody was up for it........

as we are 17 days away i think by the time fight week comes it will have the feeling that HATTON vs MAYWEATHER had, well from my point of view anyway.......

how do you see the anticipation of this big fight???

    cheers.:bbb

    i agree mate......

yeah tripple bubble hbo face off, ringside and bunceys boxing hour of course!

everyone in my circles are talking now, some are big boxing fans some are just casuals, but they are all up for it...

i think it could possibly be bigger than hatton vs floyd due to the casual fan not wanting to stay up till 4am to see the fight.......10pm is spot on! :D

I think the lack of buzz around this fight just shows the damage the Klitchkos have done to HW boxing.

Don't blame them. Blame that noone is good enough to take their titles. You think the titles would be better moving between some of the challengers of this division? Not me.

    i can understand that fella......

they are shite imo, and only where they are due to the total lack of anything at HW..

once the hbo face off does the rounds it will go mega i reckon.

For some reason Haye has gone quiet, I reckon he has had done his bit already to get people interested and he's now serious, this is the biggst fight of his career.

I think it will be difficult for any boxer to do what Hatton did and gain such a following.

    I personally cant wait!

There will be loads of build-up coverage on this fight in the final week, here in the UK papers and on TV.

But, yes, Haye isn't a HUGE mainstream star as Bruno or Eubank or Hamed or Lewis were. Or Hatton.
Why should he be yet ?
He fights on PPV, and fights once or twice a year. Hasn't ever fought a really good heavyweight even by the standards of this era.
He draws viewers but he hasn't doesn't enough to imprint himself on the minds of British public as a true sporting hero. People who listen to even 5 minutes on the subject quickly gather that he's not NUMERO UNO at the moment, he's still an up-and-comer (and one that isn't particularly active).
If he beats Wlad he'll be as big as boxing star as we've ever had, I guess.
(Don't expect him to beat Wlad though).

I am super stoked for this fight, 8/10 anticipation rating. Weirdly I would say I was more up for Degale Groves though, maybe just because I thought it would be a better fight and I was a sucker for the sky ad where the kids were in the gym.

its been quiet and fairly civil.

this could be read in 2 ways: 1 that haye is scared shitless and has realised what he has got himself in for. or 2 that haye is deadly serious and up for it.

i lean slightly towards 2, but still think that Drago wins.

The build up to this fight is still 10 times more than it was 2 years ago.

Sky Sports have already started the hype machine on this one and it'll pick up in the next couple of weeks. One of the main things though is that this fight doesn't need to be hyped as much as Haye/Harrison as it sells itself.

The build up will just simmmer away for now but in a couple of weeks when Wimbledon is finished it will be everywhere because there isnt really any other major sporting events taking place.
