    Well Norton and Witherspoon are top 30 imo, they would barely crack top 30 but they would still make it i think

    Spoon should easily be rated over Hart, Willard. H2H he would murder fitzsimmons and Jeanette

    Outside of frankenfrank I don't think I have ever seen anyone exclude Ali & Louis both from any top 5 list! Wow...I don't even know what to say????

    I totally agree. "Terrible Tim" had the potential to be one of th best heavyweights of all times. He had all the tools and ability to be so, and he could have been if he didn't have the misfortune of being jerked around by don king.

    At the top of his game witherspoon would have been a handfull for any heavy in history and i feel he would have beaten a lot of them.

    Pinklon Thomas beat a prime Tim Witherspoon quite clearly, in my opinion.

    Witherspoon didn't look too hot against Tubbs over 15 rounds either, a close lazy tame fight, and Tubbs was obviously untrained at a gross 244 pounds.

    I don't remember the 'spoon-Page fight being particularly inspiring either. And then there's the 1st round TKO loss to Smith in their 2nd fight.

    Sure, he was being jerked around by Don King, but there were lots of great fighters who did far better than Witherspoon while being exploited by unscrupulous managers and mobsters.
    Truth is, Witherspoon didn't have the focus and discipline, and never developed the consistent skill to be a great heavyweight.
