I'm not happy about it because the timing was right but I give Bradley a pass on not fighting Khan this time because I believe he is seeing out his current contract. If it's not his next fight he will feel my wrath.

For me its as simple as last year we had the commonly held opinion of:

    1) Bradley
    2) Alexander
    3) Khan
    4) Maidaina

Then Bradley beats Alexander......its not rocket science!!! Swap Kahn and Alexander round due to the Kotelink results and you still have the same number 1 of the division.

Ok so Bradley gets stripped of #1 because he's apparently avoiding Amir Khan.. does this mean that the new rankings look like this:

    1. Maidana
    2. Prescott
    3. McCloskey
    4. Khan
    5. Bradley

    :think

Rematches don't count as ducking. Get it right first time.

It IS wrong though!! Its ignoring the fighters wins, the circumstances of the wins, the promotional ties and money side (which ARE factors) etc and just going with the "ducking" bollocks to rank the fighters.

Can you imagine the abuse that Khan would get if roles were reversed though.

IF Khan beats Zab, of which I have serious doubts, I would have him and Bradley about equal.
Once Bradley escapes the clutches of Gary Shaw he will sign for the Khan fight i'm sure, just depends on how much Zab takes out of Khan...I have a sneaking suspicion that Khan will lose by huge KO. So 6/1 odds are very enticing for me ;)

Yeah, very true. TBH I think Bradley is just playing it smart though and I can see his angle.

People get too impatient for these fights and then look for someone to blame when they don't happen in the exact month of their choosing.

People are acting as if Khan is a warrior that's always gone out to fight the best and nothing else. Don't forget that for whatever reason he and his management team completely avoided Jon Thaxton, John Murray and the British title not too long ago.

Less than 6 months ago Tim Bradley fought and beat the number 2 in the division, whilst he himself was recognised number 1 after beating a solid belt holder in Junior Witter and another title holder in Kendall Holt. Now some are saying he's nothing because he won't immediately accept the highly intelligent Team Khan's plan?

Khan might be a unique example.

He was earning bucket loads for fighting small, feather fisted opponents.

Bradley has come up the comparatively hard way, he's every right to want proper recompense, even though it's only really a trade fight and the fact that he'd dominate Khan anyway.

Really he's only taking advantage of HBO's ineptitude, they've been overpaying fighters such as Berto for ages, if Bradley is to fight Khan he ought to be looking at $2m+, simple as that.

Does anyone have Zab beating Khan?

IMO Zab is pretty much done and if Amir wasn't so damn flawed and vulnerable this would be a mismatch. As it is it'll be very intriguing early on. If Khan doesn't get countered with anything big early then he'll dominate. Zab will fade and it'll look like the Malignaggi fight with Khan controlling things from range.

Oh, and of course Bradley would still be numero uno and Khan would probabily admit that himself.

I reckon Zab has a good chance of stopping him.
