Haye beating Klitschko disasterous for the heavyweight scene?

Haye remains adamant he'll be retiring in October, which probably rules out a showdown with Vitali (Not that he'd take up a fight with Vitali anyway). A Haye win (apparently) will revamp the heavyweight division, but does it really? If Haye retires Wlad could easily win his titles back right after!

A Haye win would stink the heavyweight division out IMO.

This is David Haye we're talking about here! Vitali would most defiantly have to travel over to the UK to get his hands on Haye I guess.

I don't see how a Haye win revamps the division tbh.

Haye retiring after beating Wlad wouldn't open the division though. Wlad could easily get his titles back after Haye retires!

It would be the best thing for boxing!

Haye beats Wlad, Haye fights Vitali, winner is the champ. Vitali won't fight Wlad so Wlad can't get a belt.

Well there is that I guess. Vitali - Haye would certainly give the HW division some recognition. I just think if Haye did retire after Wlad, the division would be a stinker.

Vitali would be rubbing his hands if he could unify the division and knock the snot out of Haye. And yes I agree Vitali probably wouldn't be to fussed about the money.

Sorry but not sure I can understand why that is something to be smirked at? Of course he would make him come to the UK

He would after all be no.1 in the ring rankings, hold almost all of the belts and would have already been over to Germany to Wlads home away from home. Why shouldn't he? :think

I agree, he will stay on and argue the demand from the fans after unifying belts would force him to reconsider. He might wait and see how Vitali looks against Adamek in September before announcing his intentions, as he doesn't turn 31 until October.

how would it help the heavyweight scene if the guy who says he's retiring in October wins?
