“I watched Carl’s fight on SKY. He did what he had to do against a tricky fighter with a awkward style, but to be honest I didn’t see anything special to back up the kind of hype he’s getting. I am confident that I will beat Jason Booth and then Carl if he is next on the list. I believe that I am the best super bantam weight in Britain,” Quigg told Mirror Sport before admitting he wants to face Frampton to eliminate any doubt as to who the best prospect it is.

“I want to make sure everybody knows I am the best. The only way to do that is to beat the other big names in the division and that includes Carl. I am fighting Booth first for the title then the Carl fight has to happen.”

    Sounds fair enough to me!

Exactly what I was saying. 'I didn't see anything special to back up the kind of hype he is getting'. Thats what Frampton's fight left me thinking.

Same for me. Nothing special at all, though I'll wait to see if I'm proven wrong as the fights go by.

The hype is ridiculous on this kid.

I Felt Carl Frampton was too keen to impress last week and made it hard work for himself against a very tough and determined kid. It took me back to when Hoko fought Peter Harris for the British title, and was maybe the way Carl should of gone about the job with consistant pressure, movin in off a busy, solid jab with overhand rights and hooks to body and head and i think he would of got the stoppage. What he did show was glimpses of real class, and from what i've seen of Quigg,Frampton breaks him in two with the body shots imo.

Disagree with you Blue here. I see Quigg taking this if I'm honest. I'm pretty excited by both though to be fair. Would be nice to see them square off soon. Good to see they both want it too. Cracking fight this is gonna be.

I think he means two as in half.

I don't think he means he would beat him in two rounds!!!

Ive been saying forever that Joe Murrays skill set would run rings round Frampton, that last fight Frampton won and congrats but it showed a few weaknesses, Murray also hits harder than Framptons last opponent.
Sometimes too many back the power puncher compared to the boxer, but we all know when it comes down to it a a Good boxer with a decent chin always beats the puncher. We`ll have to see how good a chin Joe Murray has, but i still think he`d beat Frampton.

I spoke to Barry Mac about this when I met him at the Kirsty McColl Memorial gig. I was talking to him about Frampton and I said I think he will beat Quigg but that Murray is a different propersition.

I don't see a huge amount between them but if my life depended on it I think I would go with Frampton.

Really enjoy watching both of them and I hope they can both go to the top.

frampton would box the ears of murray , murray is to feeble loooking and stands to tall , for a common opponent in the ams look at david oliver joyce , frampton beat joyce by a few points dropping him on the way whereas joyce beat murray by about 20 points in liverpool after the olympics .

Thing is, chap just mentioned body shots breaking Quigg in half.

But Frampton has t-rex arms, that can't possibly cover his body properly. And Quigg is a good body puncher in his own right.

Murray is to quick and agile for Frampton, common opponents dont always paint a picture properly as styles make fights, Get Real

Quigg better not underestimate Booth... Booth will present alot of things he's never seen before.

talking to Frampton's trainer after the last fight- he was delighted with Turley! he felt Carl could have used more of his skill and was to eager to stop the guy..and he felt turley will thought carl a lesson. but lads turley took some shots and was akward! plus frampton won hands down! other fighters might take a fight with him now-and disregard stories they hear about him doing exceptional in sparring against top names....might be a blessing in disguse!
