Ya i read the quotes, that's why i asked do you think it would be that easy. Seeing as you know him, i was wondering did you reckon he was being genuine. He seemed very confident about it. I just assumed it would be very difficult to put on such a show, and if a promoter was so sure that he could have it "any time he wants", then he'd put it on straight away. Of course there's a lot more to it than that.
Seeing as sky are interested then it could be sooner rather than later that it gets the go-ahead. :happy

Ray Moylette (red) in action


Ray Moylette will get Ireland's European Championship campaign underway with a preliminary round bout against Israel in Ankara, Turkey tomorrow.

The St Anne's Westport light-welterweight, a gold medal winner at the 2008 AIBA World Championships, will meet Subhin Amara on Friday afternoon.

John Joe Nevin, Willie McLaughlin, Con Sheehan and Cathal McMonagle will be in action Saturday.

Kilkenny middleweight Darren O'Neill, who is Irish team captain in Ankara, will face Germany's Denis Radovan, an opponent he beat 18-5 in Germany last month, on Sunday.

Michael Conlon and Michael McDonagh will also be between the ropes Sunday. Conlon has been drawn against Birmingham flyweight Khalid Yafai.

AIBA World Youth champion Joe Ward received a bye into the last-16 and will meet Ainar Karlson of Estonia on Monday.

Karlson was beaten 7-4 by Ken Egan in the quarter-finals of the 2010 European Championships in Moscow.

Boxing begins at 12 noon (Irish time) on Friday, followed by the Opening Ceremony.

Just read the McCloskey-Khan 'report' in The Ring. It was basically the only article in the magazine that didnt have an author listed under it - which explains a lot. And if you wonder why, it was basically a golden boy press release passed off as fight report. Rubbish, nearly as bad as that shite that Herbert dished out when they left him in charge at BN for a week.
