Please dont tell me he absorbed what Prescott gave him. Or that Salita can bang? Or McCloskey? Or Kotelnick. And only reason he got a result against Maidana was ref docking point from Maidana for an elbow.
is iron chin laz:think there seems to be a few new aliases on here at the mo,and all of them big up khan,is it laz making khan have a few more fans on here
Holt is a good shout, he put Bradley on his bum too. Put it this way Maidana has stamina problems, but in the first few rounds he hits as hard as anyone at 140, Khan even took his shots then, i also agree Maidana's power is a bit overrated but before he faced Khan he was billed as the biggest puncher at 140, and after that people say now his power is hideously overrated funny that.
Well I suggest you either: A-Read some of my posts pre Khan-Maidana or B-Ask most posters who are familiar with myself Because in both cases you'll find that I've always made the point, and reiterated it time and time again, that Maidana has never hit as hard as people claim him to. I couldn't care less if he's ''billed'' as the biggest puncher at 140, Anselmo Moreno is ''billed'' as the most underrated fighter in the whole sport, doesn't mean it's correct. Maidana's a clubbing puncher who hits hard, but he does not posses anywhere near the explosiveness of Holt, who knocks people OUT, something Maidana has never done to half decent opposition. Against a shot Corley, he did very little. Compare that to his countryman Mathysse, who dropped Chop Chop numerous times(it's listed as nine but some of them weren't genuine). He didn't do severe damage to a blown up, past it featherweight well into his 30's, he only managed to bother him by lumping together a countless number of winging shots at a time. He caught Ortiz time and time again with full-blooded right-hands, which you'd think, with him being the ''biggest puncher at the weight'', he wouldn't have had to do. Not exacly the form guide of a murderous puncher.
Excuse me as I can't recall your posts from last year but I take your word for it. I agree with you to the fact that Holt is also has very good power maybe more than Maidana, but just is not as crude Maidana and not a all out pressure fighter like Maidana, but can KO with one punch as you pointed out. The point I was trying to make is Maidana is known as a power puncher at 140 and maybe does lack one punch power but he makes it up with pressure, and many thought had enough to put Khan away, but Khan showed us a better chin than before and lots of heart. Ok Maidana might not be the biggest puncher at 140 but is up there.
