My favorite ones is his opposition wasn't that good and all he did was intimidate people, and when they fought back they all beat him.

    Lol yup.

Like when Mitch Green stood up to him TWICE and got his ass handed to him both times.

That's def the biggest one. I always point people to the Ruddock fights to dispel that myth.

You should also point to the Tubbs, Thomas, Holmes, and Berbick fights as well. Because those fighters tried fighting him back too, and still got KTFO.

According to Teddy Atlas, the most bias Tyson guy in history, he claims none of these guys tried fighting Tyson back and let the fight slip out of their hands, except buster douglas. Mitch Green looked just as focused as Buster Douglas did and was throwing Joe Calzaghe Combinations at Tyson and Tyson was slipping and countering while that was going on. Not according to Mr. Teddy Atlas though. Burt Sugar also said Mike had trouble with Taller fighters, which I respect Sugars opinions on boxing most of the time but that one I don't agree with at all.

I think all the options are relevant to some of the bs you hear from uneducated people on ESB.
My favourite one i heard was that he had no heart.

Well on the classic forum, Stevie G made a thread comparing Tyson's opponents to Joe faziers opponents in the 70's and most people think Tyson championship opponents that he fought in the 80's were slight better than Fraziers. And that's from posters who actually know boxing. So maybe it could because Tyson's opponents didn't have the star appeal, because I can assure the Tyson of the 90's wouldn't been beating Tyson's opponents in the 80's considering the fact that he became more one dimensional in his later career and stop using boxing skills that made him good when he trained with Rooney. If your really unsure, maybe you should go back and review the fights because theirs a big difference in Tyson's ability as a boxer.

Tyson can't go the distance and when you stretch him past 5 rounds you can beat him
Tyson could go 12 rounds very well, he may not have the best motor, but Tyson was more or less comfortable with 12 rounds IMO..

Mike Tyson was a good fighter in a division of bad fighters. He was not a special god like specimen as some claim. He feasted on bums in a division as weak as todays. The reason tyson looked one dimensional in the 90's is because the competition was better in that decade. Not claiming tyson wasnt a good fighter , he was just the best of a bad bunch and highly over rated.

So basically your trying to tell me that Tyson was just as good in the 90's without Kevin Rooney along with the long layoffs, as he was in the 80's with Kevin Rooney? Because maybe your forgot to factor that key ingredient in the equation.

What im saying is that the competition in the 90's was far superior to the 80's and no version of tyson with who ever in his corner is as dominant looking in that decade as he was in the 80's fighting cans. If you think otherwise we can just agree to disagree.
