For all winkys boxing ability, I can see Tommy Smoking winky early. winkys head movement wasnt the best. i can see tommy easily dropping that great guard with his height and reach

Tommy would not have smoked winky , he would have had to settle for the decision . Did he smoke the smaller (than winky too) Benitez ?

Hearns by KO. Winky not having the power and pop to keep hearns off, which was necessary to beat Hearns. Hearns wouldn't respect him and would walk him down and bomb him out with the right hand

Hearns decision, maybe late stoppage if he does enough damage to Winky.

Hearns is too strong offensively for Winky, I think he beats Winky up from distance the whole night & stops him late, I cant see anyway Wright wins this one.

Hearns UD, difficult to see anyone completely battering Winky, I think H2H at 154 Winky could hold his own with most.

i think it's the vasquez fight that make people think winky is vulnerable to getting rattled and dominated

I love Tommy, but in this fight I don't think he stops Winky. This looks similar to the Benitez fight. Tommy and Winky not being able to hit each other much, with Tommy's jab making the difference as it always did. Tommy wins a UD.

it's true and it's a fascinating thing for me. for someone who has such ridiculous natural power, to develop a versatile and educated jab is such a wonder to me. especially tricky when you think that tommy was this brilliant boxer as an amateur with only 30% knockout ratio then becomes such a dynamic knockout artist as a pro but still kept his jab when it would be so tempting to lose it

exactly. I love Tommy, but his greatest weakness is loving to brawl and going away from what could have given him wins. Against Leonard, Tommy was a little green but had he used his jab in rounds 13 -15 he could have won like he did against Benitez. Against Hagler? I am not sure anything could have deterred the emotions Hagler had when going after Hearns. That was Hagler's last great effort where he put his all out and fought great. He was so determined that Hearns would have had to fight the perfect fight to beat him that night. I don't know what the result would have been had Tommy boxed Hagler and tied him up when Hagler got in close. After a few rounds Hagler would have been tired and Tommy could have started to land some long range rights and use his jab in the later round to cut up Marvin.
Regardless Tommy just using his jab in every fight and not going for the knockout would have made him a lot like Roy Jones Jr. and then people would not have remembered him as fondly as they will in 20 years, when Jones will not remembered as well.
