Technically it was yesterday, but I couldn't miss a milestone birthday of my all time favorite fighter, Manos de piedra. From recent pictures it looks like he look like he lost a ton of weight and still a handsome man. I hope I age that well. Best wishes to you champ! Greatest fighter ever in my opinion.
Many happy returns. Duran ought to be in everyone's top ten ATG list. I'm sure he'd still be fighting if not for that car accident.
That was the first thing to say that popped in my head when I saw the thread title. Duran was one of the last of his kind in boxing... true legend.
Comeback? :think Obliterating Hopkins' milestone (in the same year no less) would have to be enough to leapfrog a spot or two on most people's ATG lists. :yep Honestly those higher-up divisions that are "realistic" for him (CW & HW) are weak enough that he probably could grab a title after a few months' training.
I saw a fairly recent picture of him and he's not given up his penchant for a huge appetite from the look of things. But hey, he deserves it for all the great fights he's given the world of boxing. He is one of my all-time favorite fighters and is easily top 3 in my book. I hope he lives a long, happy life.

Yea man didnt he walkin with Celestino Caballero vs Litzau? Duran should of gotten a standing ovation, but then maybe not many recognized him because of the weight loss. He looks great.
