I don't think it's him as a person people dislike. It's his fighting style. It's boring. Just like Chris Eubank had a good fighting style, but he was disliked as a person because of the way he strutted around and always acted intellectually superior. To be truly liked, you have to have a fighting style people enjoy to watch and be a decent guy outside the ring.
not that many people dislike him ,most haters of Wlad are brits and Haye gets much more hate in USA and the rest of the world.
:good Agree with this. He could be the nicest guy in the world but he's a fighter and he should be known first and foremost for who he fights not how many languages he speaks or how many charities he supports. That's why people will always worship Tyson. You could argue that with Haye it's the other way round. He rubs a lot of people up the wrong way but you can't deny that he's exciting to watch. And before anyone starts bleating about the Valuev fight, that was a one off.
This, the guy basically has the size, reach and skill advantage over every single opponent and yet he still fights that way.
So was the Harrison borefest? The truth is that Haye is no better than Wlad. Both men have absolutely no shame in stinking out a joint just so they can carry home a victory.
So did Ali. He had better reach, better skills and yet he produced a good dozen or so of borefests against guys who were not on his level :think
Haye put a bet (sorry asked everyone else to put a bet on for him) on the 3rd round. But Haye knocking out Harrison out in the 3rd round is a little different than jabbing him to death and then knocking him out in the 10th.
How was the Harrison fight boring? **** yes, boring no, and certainly not in the same league of boringness (don't know if that's a word) as a lot of Wlad's fights. Yes, in the Valuev fight Haye was prepared to fight a boring fight to get the belt, but to say he's a boring fighter is plain ridiculous. Just go back and watch his fights!
Are you kidding me? People were booing when Harrison stood in front of Haye and Haye didn't throw a *SINGLE PUNCH* for the first two rounds. It was the most boring two rounds I've ever seen in HW boxing. Show me a single Wlad fight where there's no punches thrown for a full 6 minutes! :deal Oh right, I forgot. Haye bet on himself that's why he didn't throw for 6 minutes. And you idiots are naive enough to believe that. You also believe Wlad when he said he was drugged vs. Brewster?
Listen man, I'm already getting the feeling that you're incapable of having a reasonable discussion about this. I have nothing against Klitschko as a person, he seems like a pretty cool bloke, but he's a boring fighter. Simple as that. Any boxing writer/commentator in the world would agree with that. It's the main reason he's never been taken to heart by the yanks, who after all are by far the biggest boxing audience in the world money wise.
