Whats better for Wlad's legacy: a war or a total domination against Haye?

What do you guys feel about this? Personally I feel that a war would benefit him more and would do more for his legacy. Almost every great fighter was in somekind of a war that became his signature win: Ali-Frasier, Foreman, Lewis-Klitschko, and so on.

 

A bloody 10 round war with knockdowns on both sides and a 10/11 round TKO victory for Wlad would enhance Wlad's legacy. It would get people to talk about the fight for years.

If Wlad won by early TKO or a lackluster 12 round domination without Haye landing a single punch then the win would do very little for Wlad's legacy. Haye would be quickly forgotten as an over-hyped nobody.

 

A win over Vitali was by no means Lewis' signature win. It's not even up there. It's an old, out of shape Lewis struggling against a fighter he'd have handled comfortably in his prime.

 

Maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't. But let's not get off topic

You mean the Lenno Lewis (two and half months away from his 38th birthday, who already beat Razor Ruddock, Frank Bruno, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Prime Shannon Briggs, amateur Riddick Bowe, Ray Mercer, David Tua, Tommy Morrison, Andrew Golota...... everyone in his era, already became a 3x World Champion, and undisputed champion)........

His signature win was against an unknown Eastern European of the time Vitali Klitschko? L-O-L

 

A win is a win.

 

If this fight gets anywhere near a war, given Wlads past fights, I can't see him winning. But if it goes that way and he comes out on top he'll become easier for his detractors to like and maybe even support in the future. I know I'd love to see Wlad in this type of fight, but it's not really in his style.

 

There is only one name that can be called a bigger win: Holyfield. Maybe at the time Vitaliy was unknown, but since that fight, Vitaliy went on to be the most dominant champion of all Lewis opponents safe for Tyson. That's what I said BECAME his signature win.
What do you have to say on topic though?

 

A dominant KO after weathering a storm early in the fight.

Should Haye come out guns ablazing, catch Wlad, force him into clinching and defending that would get most folks on their feet.

Then after weathering the early storm, Wlad could bring Haye into the middle rounds, parrying his Hayemakers then countering with hooks and straights. One of these hooks lands flush and Haye goes down. He gets up, Wlad starts sitting on his jab and finding a home for the R, and a Chagaev/Brock style KO follows.

This kind of fight is what the fans want, and what would make a win over Haye a little more satisfactory.

But to me, if Haye fights scared like he did against Valuev then we'll see a late KO like we did vs Chambers and people will remember the fight as Wlad vs a shittalking overrated blown up cruiser.

 

A war would do his credibity no harm at all, a normal Wlad performance will be just as forgettable as the others. The Ibragimov fight got a lot of hype too, but who really remembers that fight. The thing is though Wlad isn't a man to come through a war.

 

If these two go to war there will be KD´s.

 

A War would greatly enhance his reputation.
But, I don't think either guy is durable enough for a war.

 

Well both men have come back from knockdowns or deep waters to win fights (Wlad vs. Peter I), Haye vs. Mock and Mormeck.

I wouldn't rule out a big war but then again I think it's much more likely both will try to keep their chins out of trouble for the distance of the fight.
