Why didn't Oscar vs Tito 2 happen??

    I was still a youngster and didn't really started getting deep into boxing and what's happening in the boxing world til I joined ESB to read up Pre Margo vs Cotto fight... I was so excited for that fight and scared because they are my favorite fighters, lol I wanted one of them to take out $May before each other:yep

    Because Oscar requested olympic style glove testing.

    Jk I think Oscar didn't want to give tito a bigger share than what he received for the 1st fight. Weight was also an issue because tito moved up to 154

    if you ever watched the first fight, you can understand why the second fight didn't happen. the worst mega-fight of all-time.

    Simple. The agreement was, whoever won, their promoter would promote the rematch. DLH and Arum felt they won, they should do the rematch. If they gave in to King, the rematch would most likley have been done at 154.

    But didn't De La Hoya say that he couldn't make the weight? Well, he did obviously, but it seems that he was having problems with losing weight at that time.

    Not entirely sure. DLH did fight again at 147 a few more times before moving up to 154.

    It was money.. tito felt since he won the fight he deserved more money. The first time around Oscar got the bigger purse, so Tito felt this time he deserved it... shoulda happened, but Oscar was the draw and was not willing to take less...

    Titos team probably knew he lost the fight and decided to go onto bigger things..

    I'm 26..... Do the math.....the first fight I can remember blurry is chavez vs taylor, and the living room full of adults going wild at the tko cheering.... To answer your question yes I did.

    Tito wanted a rematch but felt that this time they should have gone 50/50 split since he took the less split for the first fight and was declare the winner and being the champ. I think we had a good chance for the rematch but then came Mosley and ruin everything. Though I wish Oscar would have fought and traded shots like he did with Mosley with Tito:D

    Tito wanted at least 50/50 and trust me Tito if not was the second biggest attraction after Oscar and had some good arguments. Mosley in my opinion kill the rematch for DLH/Tito...
