The Geale fight would've been fun. He's planning an all-Australian showdown with Mundine though.

This is going to be worst than Pavlik - Lockett.

People overreact. Now Barker is some bum? Why is Sturm-Macklin regarded a top fight but Martinez-Barker isn't? There isn't a big skill difference between the two challengers, come back arguing with it once Sturm is done. Martinez just fought Cintron, Williams x 2, Pavlik and Dzinziruk, all top 3 or very best in their divisions, and now he fights one of the next generation. Sure I would've preferred Pirog let's say, but what if Martinez doesn't lose the WBO belt, people would then say 'fight Geale not this bum Pirog or who whodafuk'... there's always something to say. It's the same frustration Team Martinez is having, wanting something but getting something else and HBO isn't helping. It's just unfair to target the frustration toward Sergio. Barker now, hopefully one of the top guys next. Just have patience.

Do we even need to blame someone for the MW champion fighting an undefeated top ranked contender? People even diss Mayweather vs. WBC champ Ortiz, I mean WTF is going on?

Sergio.....for being too good for his own good and for extending his agreement with the Lou. Lou is limited in what he can do for his fighters and Sergio needs a BIG time promoter like Golden boy or Top Rank to get the fghts he deserves. Sergio is left calling out smaller men who are in weight classes he'll never be able to get to b/c there's really no one at 160 that he can build on. Paul Williams is his best win.....and he'll be the only man at 160 who could beat him.

Sergio will need to fight at a catch weight to get one of the bigger names at 168 to fight him b/c Sergio thinks 168 is too big. Sergio wants to be a MW but he can't get the fights he wants staying in that division.

I think the Floyd/Ortiz is great and shock who tries to diss that fight. But then again I know the only group that takes stabs at that fight. Sergio was asking for big money fights, but Manny, Floyd, Cotto, Chavez Jr. all the money makers dont want it right now. I was hoping for Sergio to move or meet someone else half way. This fight doesnt do anything for him and unfortunately will be another excuse for the other promoters to make excuses. Maybe his best fights will be moving up in weight class.

very tough fight for Barker but he's a true middleweight and is quite fast which may give Martinez a few problems
