3 reasons why Jones is a special talent

I can think of many, but heres 3

    1. He avoided the true LHW champ Michalczewski for years.

    2. When Jones was mandatory for the next true LHW champ Erdei, Jones successfully avoided Erdei also.

    3. Jones went without punishment for being a proven cheat

Jones was a superb special talent. One of the best to lace them up in my estimation. What gets to me is the way he misused his talent in his prime somewhat.

He was a devastating attacking force, even at light heavyweight, look at the way he dealt with Griffin in the rematch and Hill. He used to coast too much though, he didn't show the killer instinct enough except when it was needed. Also its a shame he missed so many of the best fighters in his era. I don't blame him for it like some, i think a lot of the fighters weren't exactly rushing to face Jones either but it hurts him somewhat when compared to the fighters of the past that he had the ability to match but his record falls short.

One things for sure, it will be a long time till we see someone like Jones in the ring. He was a one off in the things he could do.

Michalczewski lost to Gonzalez who RJJ floored 3 times to a UD win. Also went life and death with Richard Hall who RJJ easily beat.

theres only 5 things anyone needs to remember about roy jones

    - he is a proven banned anabolic steroid drugs cheat. any drug cheat is an absoloute disgrace and is likely to have cheated many times throughout his career (and don't feed me the ripped fuel line because that is absoloute bull**** with no proof).

    - jones had a disgracefull glass jaw, one of the worst in the business.

    - whenever jones faced adversity, he collapsed like a lawn chair. check out how real greats like calzaghe, leonard, and ali fight when faced with adversity - they come back and raise they're game, they fight fire with fire in adversity when its all on the line.

    - jones couldn't adapt, he had no plan B in the ring. once jones had been figured out he couldn't adapt. onces jones' reflexes slowed a little, there was nothing their, he couldn't find another way to win.

    - jones never beat a unified or lineal champion in his whole career

the best part of this post is when you paired calzaghe with leonard.:lol: also, you don't need proof to call jones a drug cheat but proof is needed to argue against you.

Jones' Chin is an embarrassment for the sport of boxing. The guy needs to retire. He made his money fighting those bar tenders, sanitation workers and off duty police officers and taking the path of least resistance throughout his career. He should now retire and stop embarrassing himself and the sport. His steroid riddled Chin is only going to get shattered again and again.

And aside from the physical talents, the guy has a brilliant boxing mind. If anyone in the world would know when Roy Jones should quit, it's Roy Jones. I don't get it. He's either broke or has some serious blinders on.
