super middle fights that should happen this and next year.

abraham vs bute: abraham deserves another shot and it would show what level bute is at compared to froch and ward and whether its worth waiting for a unification bout.

lucian bute vs froch/ ward: if he beat abraham this fight will establish the best fighter in the division and give the rarity of a unified champion.(already on the cards i know, doesn't mean its gonna happen!)

kessler vs dirrell: the winner could then get a shot at the unified champ.


the prospects like degale, groves, quillin and rodriguez should be moved up against decent gatekeepers like bika, green, steiglitz, miranda early next year. that way we can start sifting out the pretenders and shaping the future of the super mids after froch, ward and bute inevitably move up in weight,

 

If i was abraham I would move back to 160 he has no business at 168.

 

i agree he isn't competative against the top 168 guys, especially now they all have his number. the way look at it though is he's faced the two top guys so he's a usefull gatekeeper for the other fighters. a kind of test dummy for prospects and contenders. he could earn big money fighting bute and then maybe young guys like degale and rodriguez.

I'd like to see almost any combination of matches mentioned, with the exception of Abraham. He's had more than enough chances and has only made a fool of himself. His stock has seriously fallen. Froch's, on the other hand, has risen. And Kessler sure turned out to be about half the man everybody was making him out to be before he was SUPPOSED (I didn't buy it for a second) to murder Ward.

I really don't think Ward-Dirrell could ever happen.

i have a feeling degale will be the dominant one out the bunch. even though he lost against grove.

 

fighting away from home does have an affect. im not saying kessler would beat ward in denmark but it would of been much closer and people would be giving kessler more respect. he beat froch and was only narrowly beaten by calzaghe in wales.

Do you have a link for the negociation for a possible Bute-Pavlik? I read earlier today that Jonhson want to face Bute but nothing about Pavlik!

Everybody knows the outcome would have been very similar in Denmark. If people weren't overestimating Kessler, then they were underestimating Ward.

Kessler's win over Froch would have been a loss in England. He lost narrowly on the road to Calzaghe, but got his ass handed to him on the road by Ward. Instead of giving credit where credit is due, as Ward is easily a better fighter than Calzaghe ever was, people point to Kessler having an off night rather than Ward simply being a class above.

I think Kessler made things worse by whining and making excuses as opposed to just admitting he was beaten, thoroughly, mind you, by the better man....a future ATG. Now we will see Ward blow out Froch unlike how Kessler was able to, but Ward will have to travel, though he's no stranger to traveling, to silence the critics.

 

so ward is a much better fighter than hopkins aswell then because calzaghe beat hopkins on the road.

The Super6 has proven who's truly on top and who's not..... definitely not AA. He had been beaten by THREE of the SIX fighters, lol
Ya think thats enough chances? Hmmmm.... i think so.

If he's smart, he'd go back down to 160. He's over-muscled and suffers stamina problems. Each 3 of those fighters exposed that.....
