There's alot more this year not making the top 10. Just out of interest I bashed all the figures for live fights (not replays/delayed ones) and the average last year was 145,000 ish, this year it's down to 103,000. I hope boxing on sky isn't going to plummet like boxing on HBO.

I have Updated the OP with last weeks figures and a few more figures for HBO, which are suspect, apparently HBO are realsing figures for people who watched live and delayed viewers totalled together.

Carl did good for Sky, two replays got into the top 10 and the live show got one of the highest ratings for Sky Boxing this year :happy

What's the difference between B.A.D. and World Championship Boxing on HBO? Why isn't Álvarez vs Rhodes an HBO World Championship Boxing programme?

Figures for Froch were good but it was only 148,000 because of the UK leg and partly due to Kessler.

WCB is for really important fights, now they've massively toned down the amount of ppv's they're doing it is anyway. BAD is for more regular fights. For example, when Chris Arreola was undefeated and it looked like he had a slight chance of upsetting Vitali Klitschko and perhaps becoming the new US heavyweight star, it was on WCB. After he'd lost that and was rebuilding, his fight with Tomasz Adamek, a good fight but not particularily important, was on BAD.

that is a great number for boxing on HBO. it is not basic cable, it cost $13 a month for HBO. there is 26 million homes with HBO in USA. that is only one third of the total number of homes that have cable TV in USA. Anything over 1.5 is a great number on HBO, the rating are doing very well this year for HBO boxing. Boxing is doing well in USA, this year. the same with Showtime there rating are up as well and there is only 18 million subscribers.

Just did a quick update, June's viewing figures are up :good

I had a quick look at the figures for Channel 5 with Chisora-Fury coming up, from looking at the top 30 figures for Channel 5, Chisora-Fury will probably need to get around 830,000+ viewers to break the Top 30 and 1.3 million to get into the Top 10. Fingers crossed, hopefully it produces a strong rating.

It should be able to do that. Just some good promotion is needed.

I read that Alvarez/Rhodes got 1.6m on HBO so slightly more than Chavez/Zbik :good

The Sturm/Brook double-header figures were brilliant!

The only thing that Mick will pull out the bag is a pasty...Its up to Channel 5 to promote this as MH is pretty useless....The two biggest gobs in british boxing should really promote itself

OK I have updated the OP. The Liverpool bill got the highest rating of the year on regular Sky with 190,000.
