I would have, expect he actually came back 10 years later to knockout Liakhovic to win the WBO heavyweight title.

Why Tommy Burns at #2 ???

Would you call Marciano's tenure as champ brilliant?

    Was Corbett's reign fantastic?

    Tunney.. exceptional champion??

Jack Sharkey was flattened by your #7 worst H/W champ.

Max Baer got picked apart by your #8.

Yes. He is top 10 best EVER. Went 6-0 with 5 knockouts vs hall of famers, and 11-0 with 10 knockouts against Ring Magazine top 10. A beast of a fighter h2h too.

Because he was 5'7 168-180lb, not a particularly devastating hitter, not a highly skilled boxer, nor does he have any other freakish attributes. His resume is not overly impressive either, his title reign was flooded with a bunch of gooftroopers. I don't think he could compete against the bigger, skilled, powerful heavyweights of the later eras. H2H is a factor in here.

Corbett knocked out undefeated John L Sullivan, fought 61 even rounds vs a prime Peter Jackson, beat joe choynski, Jake Kilrain, charley mitchell....and was ahead on cards after 23 rounds vs James Jeffries while past his own prime.

Corbett's arguably a top 25 heavyweight of all time

Tunney beat Jack Dempsey 2x and top contender Harry Greb 3x. His skills speed jab and footwork were exceptional. Hes top 20 material all time.

In an arguably fixed fight. In the first fight, Sharkey nearly shut out Carnera over 15 rounds. Sharkeys resume easily trumps Carnera. Sharkey was a master boxer, great timing and accuracy, terrific handspeed, very physically strong. He is top 25 material all time.

Max Baer knocked out Max Schmeling, Primo Carnera and went undefeated during a 4 year span. Also beat a handful of other contenders. He was big 6'3 210lb, with a monster right hand, fast hands, and devasting finishing ability. He also had a chin of granite. He is top 25 material of all time. No way braddock rates over him.

Quote.. SuzQ.. mate, you list 1994 Foreman.. therefor you are being selective regarding the CHAMPIONSHIP tenure.. not the overall career.

Which is it?? Title reign, or career??

Tommy Burns fared better against Jack Johnson than most men above 6 feet in height. Sure he copped a flogging, yet he remained as solid as his 5' 7" frame allowed. Burns also delivered blows with superb timing in footage available from other bouts. Very under rated little big man.

Foreman is the exception. He had two careers. He was a complete different fighter in 1990s than 1970s. If you feel im breaking the rules, eliminate him from my list and replace him with Rahman.

    Were talking careers

Foremans 2nd career 1987-1997 get's overrated in my opinion, he was one of the worst to ever win a belt

I don't think he won one second of any round. Got tossed around like a rag doll.

Against unrated white gooftroopers who couldn't fight like Bill Squires, jem roche, and jewey smith.

What are his top 5 best wins? Won't be too impressive

On another note, unless a modern H/W picks up more than one of the 859 H/W titles available, it pretty ridiculous to list them in a Top 10 'worst' list.. I say that with respect to the fighter, as the talent pool is so vastly spread via the 859 Top 10 lists made available by the 859 Govering bodies.

    Cheers Q.

I think at 5'7 168lb, he would do quite well in the super middleweight division, which is where I rate him. P4p as well.

It's just were talking heavyweights here. Even as a heavyweight, he didn't record too many impressive wins. No disrespect to Tommy as a p4p fighter, he just was caught in the wrong weight class.
