Will Haye use a high guard against Wlad?

    Wlad's fights usually begin with him jabbing from the outside while his opponent blocks his jabs with a high guard. I can't see Haye boxing on the outside with his hands down, that would be a recipe for disaster. Haye's fast but he's no Willie Pep, so it wouldn't be a good strategy for him.

    Haye usually fights with his left hand low, he's not used to having a high guard, but I think he may have to adopt one here.

    Unless of course he's coming out all guns blazing in Round 1. :bbb

    I still think Haye will fight with his left hand low, he will probably for the most part fight on the back foot. I think he will use movement taking steps back and try and make Wlad over reach with the jab then step inside and look to unload.

    He'll have the left low so he can see the punches coming and slip them. That's how he do.

    Against Harrison he had his left hand high(er) so he probably will.

    Haye will have to keep his hands up early. But I think he'll got right out after Wlad virtually from the bell anyway.

    Ruiz was able to land the jab.Wlads a lot quicker then some seem to think and I think will be surprised by it on fight night.

    hmm,i think he will have both hands higher to be ready to shoot sharp straight punches. He will change up his height as he does to make wlad be hitting a moving target,and make wlad have to move and have a harder time being turned and moving and hitting rather than his usual stationary jabbing someone who is on the ropes pinned down.

    Hes talking like he will pressure wlad and be busier than usual,but maybe he knows wlad will hear that and its a trick?.

    I think haye will be aggresive and busy,but in a very technical way.
    I think he would look to get off first,make wlad uncomfortable with the pressing and pace,movement and angles which will worry and tire wlad.

    I wonder if he can manage to turn wlad and be moving away the right hand at all times and keeping to the side of the jab,pushing it down and stopping wlad jabing which stops wlad doing right hands after jabbing.While also waving the left infront of wlads right hand,ide punch down the jab and keep my eye on the right hand,if youve got the jab stopped then all you need to watch out for most is the right hand.

    I think he can close the distance quick,turn wlad,step/slip to the side of the jab and come over with right hands after setting them up with quick flashy distracting body punches,doing this from a nice attacking angle.

    I also think haye is ready to be clinched almost right away,and knows how to counter the clinching attempts and also how to get to work on wlad when he tries to clinch lean. I wouldnt be shocked to see wlad run out and jab for his life/or run out and try to lean on haye without even punching yet,and expect haye to slip these and counter them.

    Wlad trying to clinch and allowing haye that close could be his worse mistake possible,i think him and others underestimate hayes strength.

    Ruiz fight haye was without sparring!,his relfexes and timing were all off,thats not wise to judge from that fight.

    Also ruiz is a pressure fighter and obvs. wlad is not.

    Ruiz is also shot and slow.Wlad is not:yep
    I dont buy excuses from fighters when they dont look great.

    On the topic I think Haye will do what he always does,have the right hand by his head and the left ridiculously low which is why its going to be terribly difficult to avoid the huge right hand.He thinks hes quick enough to avoid it but thats what they all say before they face Wlad.

    Personally I don't think haye can escape the jab if he tries to outbox Wlad. So I see Wlad tagging him more and more as the rounds go by, and by the 5th or 6th it will be Haye's choice to make a flurry at Wlad and get KO'd or just try and survive.

    The style would be to either change your style or find the perfect style.

    Haye’s style beats Wlads.

    Wlad would have to change to Haye’s style.

    Haye’s style is not the ultimate style either.

    Haye = 51/49 Boxer

    Wlad = 70/30 Boxer
