You say he paws with it 50% of the time, so what happens the other 50%? Again, it's how you use it, and he uses it to the best he can, he utilises his range because of his jab, his right hand is so effective because it's set up by the jab. That's why it gets so highly rated, there's varying ways fighters use their jabs, and he uses his very well, it's the fulcrum of his success. I wouldn't consider it the best in the sport, but it's certainly up there, without question.
Well if your going to paw with 50% of your jabs , by default you cannot possibly have the best jab in the sport can you ??? , because if your jab was that good you would throw , land , and bring it back without being in range to be engaged , he uses his reach as a fail safe against fat slow HW's with almost zero head movement , by and large he lands jabs and right hands against overmatched static opponents , Mayweather on the other hand lands almost every jab he throws with pin point accuracy , that is the defenition of an excellent jab . Like i said if Klitschko ever fought a real jabber , he'd have his ears boxed off . Klitschko IMO does not posess a great jab , at all !!!
Wlad fro sure... he almost knocked out Derrick Jefferson with the jab. Scroll to 6:44 of this video [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuH0UMpN9Pc[/ame]

martinez and wlad, I thought dzinziruk had one of the best jabs and martinez was outjabbing the guy at times, also wlad because its his main weapon and is very effective with it.
Cotto's is almost always accurate and well-timed, and packs a serious punch. He uses it in different ways, and has been boxing beautifully with it in his last couple of bouts under Steward. I'd nominate him as having the best right now.
im a massive fan of Cotto's jab, the fact that he is naturally left-handed puts a lot of power behind it..... Oscar had a great jab also
