    1 - 0 Alvarez, Saul controlled the action landed the cleaner punches, Rhodes did catch him cleanly with one shot but that was it.

    Alvarez steps forward but quickly leans back as Rhodes throws and misses a left hook. Alvarez stays at mid range, watching. Rhodes stands perfectly still, also watching. They're both doing a lot of scrutinizing and next to no punching. Rhodes paws with a jab. Alvarez feints with a low left hook. Wide slapping hook by Rhodes misses and pulls him out of position. Alvarez pushes him back to the ropes with a soft 1-2 to the belly and then throws a hard combo upstairs, making Rhodes blink with his right hand. Alvarez jabs his way in and throws a right uppercut that lands hard on the coiled rear left arm of Rhodes. Alvarez is leading with hooks to the body and trying to put a big right up top. Now the right sinks to the body. Back up, and hits Rhodes on the chin. Rhodes flinches from a right hand high and is exposed to a left hook to the body.
