eveybody mentions that frazier would lose thos fight because of what foreman did to him....but

foreman was a walk forward agressive big puncher wheras lewis was a more careful stand your ground big puncher - more safety first.

lewis has the power to knock out frazier i think there is no doubt about that but in a prime for prime fight frazier wears down lewis for amid to late knockout.

foremans chin is much better than lewis who remember was knocked out cold by 2 average heavyweights. frazier's constant pressure especially after the first 2-3 rounds will begin to tire out lewis who will not have fought anybody with frazier style (tua is no frazier). even 1 big massive left hook and its over , fraziers speed is underated too. lewis could only fight in spurts and at a slower pace - he simply cant match frazier who get stronger and faster as the fight goes on.

what helps frazier is lewis isnt the walk forward agressor like foreman thats the key to the fight as lewis more a more relaxed wait for his chance fighter.

good fight while it lasts....FRAZIER KO 10

for this fight frazier would weight 205 , lewis 235

Lewis would give him HELL with that stiff jab.
I honestly find it very difficult to see Smokin' Joe pulling through here, although he is one of my favorite ever fighters. :conf

its the pace of the fight i think wins frazier the fight , lewis has a great jab but was easy to get to. Tentative was the word i was looking for in my first post regarding lewis style , its all wrong for a walk forward machine like frazier

if ali's jab couldnt keep frazier away then lewis isnt either

Well, Ali's jab and Lewis's jab are two completely different kind of jabs, each with completely different elements, offsets, and power.

Lewis's style isn't "all wrong" for a walk forward machine. Tua? Tyson? Mercer? Briggs? Vitali Klitschko?

All "walk forward machines" who Lewis fought and beat.

I think you need to watch more Lewis. :good

I don't think Lewis could take Frazier's pressure and tempo. Mercer was able to get to Lewis without to much trouble and almost won the fight. I think Frazier would have a good chance of stopping Lewis.

ive lots of respect for your boxing knowledge mate but tua is far too slow , tyson was years past his best..a peak tyson destroys lewis as he hasnt the chin to last against an accurate devastating puncher , mercer fight was very close , briggs simply isnt in the same league , and vitali was winning the fight but in no way has the style of frazier.

lewis is a great heavyweight but against the greats he gets beat eg: ali , louis , johnson , holmes , foreman , frazier , holyfield in prime , tyson

people are comparing Ali to lewis, tua to Frazier? wtf? I'm a big Lewis fan, but if he doesn't get Joe out of there in 1 to 3 rounds he's in trouble.... a REALLY INTRIGUING FIGH and you know something I think Joe get's him with a leaping left hook l;ate on.

Fraziers style is to slip the left jab frazier effectively avoided Ali's jab in 3 fights he's gonna easily avoid Lewis's left jab

How Frazier would deal with the uppercut is more important here :good

Lewis is much stronger. He manhandles Frazier, wearies him and KO's him in the late middle rounds. Frazier was not a one-punch guy. The attrition game is simply never going to work on Lewis. He holds too many trump cards.

definitely but that still leaves Lewis vulnerable to the hooks which is why Ali got caught so much with the left against Frazier

Best way is to push Frazier off and uppercut him from the outside foreman style I just dont know if Lewis will have the mindset for that kind of game plan

I love Frazier, but we're talking about two different-sized heavyweights. Joe these days would be in the Just Barely A Heavyweight category, whereas Lewis was a bona fide behemoth. Lennox is much stronger physically. He wouldn't be ****ing off either, like he did in his two losses. He'd be very cautious with Joe, pick him apart, knock him out in 9 or 10.

Lewis can't take a punch. It would be a great fight; but I feel that Frazier can knock him out. Hey, Rahman knocked him out with a hook...think about it? Rahman!!

for me this fight could go either way but lewis may be a slight favourite ,lewis is not comparable to ali and frazier is not comparable to or vitali. frazier could get inside the jab of lewis and as already said lewis would probably have a plan when that happened of moving forward also and smothering frazier and laying on the smaller man attempting to wear frazier down in a distance fight and waiting for the ref to break them .and as frazier tires in the later rounds then lewis would hope to catch frazier with some long rights and big uppercuts .but there is also the chance that frazier is able to work enough when inside to slowly tire lewis out resulting in a lewis throwing tired slightly untidy punches and joe even when tired himself could still land some very telling hooks
