    I can't belive people actually thought Rhodes would be competative, you're talking about a guy who was a 4/1 underdog in a British title fight a year or two ago, this is just one last payday for him this.

    :lol:I know. I just bullshitting. The white guys do the same thing with black people, claiming they are half-breeds when they consider themselves black. It's who you identify yourself with. If Canelo say's he's Mexican and has Mexican blood in him, he's Mexican to me. :good

    Alvarez whips out some wide left hooks and blasts Rhodes with a straight right. Rhodes is standing right in front of him, having given up on the cute boxer act and staying now in orthodox. Alvarez crashes into him with a lone right hand. Alvarez is loading up and just banging away, with Jones chiding him and saying "you're not going to get the KO like that". Body shot by Alvarez. Big combo. Rhodes tries to slip with his head and upper body undulating, arms held straight down. He does slip a few but gets cracked as well while backing away and bouncing off the ropes. Rhodes nods to the ref to indicate he is OK and just playing possum. Alvarez looks bored and disinterested. He heaves a big sigh, then goes back to work. Alvarez steps in, following Rhodes around the ring but not lunging for him.

    Alvarez is a strong bull at 154. Can't believe this guy and Golden Boy wanted Marquez at 147.

    It's about honor, and dignity in Rhodes' mind at this point. Making it to the final bell in itself can be a victory for fighters. People need to respect that sometimes.

    If you were Rhodes, or in his corner you would understand.

    I'm not sure about this hype about Canelos punching power, Rhodes has been knocked out and down at domestic level but hes eating Canelos leather, i don't think this guy is a world class puncher.
