    Genuine question here, how do you fancy Burns against some proper opposition i.e top 10 boxrec.

    How would you fancy him against the likes of the worlds top 5 as listed, which include;-
    Broner,
    Fana
    Uchiyama,
    Ao,
    Mendez,

    A proper line up of fighters there who i assume would be more than willing to step in the ring with burns to unify. Any chance of these fights happening or will Frank be trawling through his stable to find washed up fighters like Cook? or will you continue to fight wbo top 15 whom are;

    1 Will Tomlinson (Oriental Int.)(Asia-Pacific) AUST
    2 Luis Cruz (Latino) PR
    3 Eloy Perez (NABO) USA
    4 Terdsak Jandaeng THAI
    5 Vicente M. Rodriguez ARG
    6 Adrien Broner (Int-Cont) USA
    7 Dante Jardon (Latino Int.) MEX
    8 Jason Litzau USA
    9 Andreas Evensen NOR
    10 Roman Martinez PR
    11 Nicky Cook GB
    12 Bryan Vazquez CR
    13 Santos Benavides NIC
    14 Sergey Gulyakevich BEL
    15 Daniel Lomeli MEX

    How the **** cook gets in at 11 is beyond me it really is, however being as Broner is ranked 6 and soon to be higher after last night is there any chance of that fight? Burn can fight him after Cook surely, if he is a real champ then these are the types of fights that will prove he is a champ rather than a belt holder surely?

    Dont dare try and make this to be a hate campaighn mate as this is a straight forward question. These are the fight a true champ should take and summat every single scot would be proud of their boy for taking let alone winning.

    I look forward to a recieving your reponse, as always all the best :good

    That would be a good fight to be fair, i just love how Cook is rated 11th and yet Gary Sykes (brit champ) and Gary Buckland (ko'd brit champ) dont even get a mention in top 15 yet Cook does after being ko'd and then off for 18 months to beat a no mark and then his rankings comeback just as Frank wants to make teh fight :lol:

    Enough of the Cook knocking from me, this thread has to remain on course to get a proper answer from Billy who (no offence meant) construes most questions regarding opponents as knocking Burns :huh

    To be honest Billy Nelson has answered this question a hundred times on here since Ricky beat Martinez, He believes that Ricky is the best in the division and will take on anyone. Billy and Ricky can only fight what is put in front of them by Frank which so far has been very limited opposition. No doubt this thread will turn into a slagging match like all the other burns threads do.

    HIi mate, i can assure you Ricky is desprate to unify the titles and fight for the ring magazine,unfortunatly this is a buisness and a poor turn out against Laraya didnt help Rickys chances of this happening,however im sure Frank will get him the desired fights we all want, thats why were in this game to test ourselves both Ricky and myself.
    I beleive Ricky will have 2-4 more fights at the weight if he wants then easily move up to LW were he'll be bigger and stronger.Thanks BN.

    You recieved a ppor turnout against Laryea cos its a terrible fight mate, as simple as that. If you fought any of those names mentioned with abit of the old sky pr machine you would get a terrific turnout no doubt, have it up the m.e.n with bellew/murray/degale as chief support and youve got a cracking event mate. Seriously tho mate, how do you rate your chances against the names mentioned? Broner last 2 fights have been against the very best of opposition in fairness (Ponce De Leon + Litzau) and yet he isnt even a so called champ. Burns should be fighting the likes of De leon and Litzau instead Evensen and Laryea shouldnt he in all fairness. Dont give me the 'Frank choose the opponent and we just fight them' nonsense because you have been blessed with the ability to speak and write dont you, so why dont you demand these types of mate? I know its a business but sustainable business models rely on treating your customers right, in this case the paying fans...

    The poor fan turn out wasn't Ricky's or your fault billy the blame must go to the promoter not enough Scottish boxers on that could sell tickets how many come up from Wales England or Ireland to watch there mates no alot but I'm sure Ricky will take a Tartan Army down south

    What? The Braehead is a 2500 capacity tiered arena. Ricky is Scotlands only world champion. James DeGale was on the show too (not a huge seller I know) but still.....

    "Take a tartan Army down South" - Try bringing one to his home fights first!!!!!!

    Welcome to planet earth :good

    I'd like to know what Billy thinks about the latest Ring Magazine listing the World Champs by Country and stating that England has 3!! :rofl(obviously compiled before the Cleverley bout)

    Suppose it's correct mate if it actually says 'England'.

    Haye
    Froch
    Khan

    Burns is Scottish. If it said 'British' then it'd be funny though :good

    I'd imagine the reason for the **** attendance for the Laryea fight was because they'd actually seen Laryea and realised he was a complete turd.

    If they put him in with someone good I'm sure the crowds will be out in force.

    The problem with him (IMO anyway) is that his fights aren't must see. He's a bit like Munroe in that you always root for him but sometimes feel a bit underwhelmed watching the action.

    Scotland isn't mentioned, list appears to only count Ring, WBC, IBF and WBA

    Even if Scotland+Wales were included, they still wouldnt make the grade...
    Champs;
    Haye, unified divison at cruiser and is looking to do so at heavy, he is acting like a proper champ.

    Froch, need I say more...

    Khan, beat kotelnik to win title and has defended it against sailta (mandatory), paul mc (euro) and maidana (interim) and is now unifying with judah and has been dodged by bradley. he has acted like a champ and is trying to face the best he can.

    ------------------
    Paper Champs/ Title Holders;
    Burns, he wins a title as an underdog against Martinez (fair play), since holds the ransom fighting Evensen (heck boxing is even illegal in his country) and (sugar) Laryea who has beaten whom exactly? he then proceeds to fight a washed up Nicky Cook who is about 3-5 years past his prime. The definition of a 'paper champ'.

    Cleverly, (you know i love him but fair is fair) he wins a title by gift as Braemher pulled out, he will fight a few nobodies (ring any bells?), hopefully he bucks the wbo champ trend and really grows a pairf and takes on the worlds elite.
