This........ dude didn't have not one ounce of fat on him in his prime, ripped from front to back and had unmatched speed/power, and he also tested positive once. People fail to notice he seemingly lost all the muscle definition in his back and ribs once he got popped.

But people seem to want to sweep things under the rug about Roy, aka the greatest cherry picker of all time.

Please dont put Joe in same bracket as Leonard it ruins your arguement and makes you look stupid.

take joe out of it if you like, though the point made was regarding great champions fighting in adversity and few in the game have fought in adversity better than calzaghe.

feel free to now discuss the points raised.

    Absolutely.

no offence to Joe just Leonard is in my top three ever, Joe was great too just never proven to that level. pretty obvious when Jones slowed down he didnt have the intangibles to be great. Hopkins has, the fight he gave Calzaghe at 43 has to be admired, Think mayweather can last few more years as well

Also Headbanger have to give Jones credit for pulling out w over Tarver in first fight he looked wrecked after losing that weight.

How few? Where does Calzaghe rank in your all-time standings of adversity-battling? Which adverse situations in particular from Calzaghe's illustrious career stand out?

He had big arms thats it, his trunks were high, barely had a six pack and all those back muscles were nearly gone.

i remember the allegations of roid use were rife after that fight. people questioned how he put on so much muscle in same period.

Not taking anything alway from Roy he has great skills and all but he fought in weak divisions.
