He can't do a single thing better than Cotto. I think the kid has potential but he's just not on the level yet.

I think Arum would. TR has a lot of up and comers....Arum would love the idea to shoot down another one of GBP's hope.

today Cotto beats that ass handily. You think Mat Hatton or Rhodes make it to rd 10 vs Cotto I think not.

Canelo has almost 40 pro fights people say he's green this kid has all the goods and has all the ring smarts and power to go with it, Canelo is not green will he get stronger and even better then he allready is "yes" could he beat cotto now "yes" this kid is going to be champ for years to come and he is going to be in big fights soon.

I like both fighters but at this stage I think Alvarez wins, probably fairly easily as well. I just cannot see Cotto imposing his physical will over the kid.

Wow...you make such a compelling argument.
And Canelo just beat another world class fighter right?
Wasn't it Cotto's lesser known brother who nearly TKO'd Canelo?

    :rofl

    'Nearly' means **** all.

Ricardo Torres 'nearly' KO'd Miguel Cotto four times in the same fight.

One is equally mistaken if one thinks Alvarez is one-legged Foreman or 2010 Mayorga. I think I'd slightly favor Cotto, but neither guy has the greatest resume in the division.

I am admittedly a Cotto fan but I like this kid Alvarez. What makes you think from Canelo's resume that he could out skill, out work, or even out quick Cotto in that slow motion\sloth of foot style?

To be honest cotto vs canelo may 2012 would be a very even fight, I think its very realistic that he defeats cotto next year. we should see how cotto performs vs margarito.

Right, just how he "decapitated" a shot to **** ancient Mayorga like you predicted :rofl:patsch

Anyway, right now i would probably slightly favor Cotto, due to his experience, but in a couple more fights i could see Canelo beating him.
