that he needs to start fast and aggressive showing no respect to Wlad if he wants to win. Most fighters get discourage if they are kept on the outside and takes a slow beating but Hayes is the most skilled/heaviest puncher wlad has faced in a long long time. He needs to go balls to the wall on wlad's frigle chins and heart or he loses.
i don't care who wins or loses....but i really hope the fight won't be as disappointing as "Valuev vs Haye" was...Boring fight...
I'm not necessarily sure that this is going to be his strategy, and I'm not totally sure what you're implying. I think Haye should start off cautiously, and especially be aware of Wlad's dangerous left hook, and then look to time Wlad's jab, and counterpunch. I think that if Haye manages to land one punch, he should follow it up with a series because Wlad does not have the best defense and Haye is fast enough to capitalize of Wlad's relatively quick footspeed. If Haye manages to get Wlad in the corner, it's game over for Wladimir because without the use of the ring, Wlad's is as helpless as an infant. It's his footspeed, cautious fighting style, and length that allows him to get out of the way of his opponent. Haye has quicker feet, but I think he should let Wlad show some vulnerability while he's punching, before Haye launches an attack. If he does this he can initiate his attack by potentially stunning Wlad, and then following up which won't allow Wlad enough time to recover and then dropping him. As far as Haye being able to dominate in the center of the ring though, that may be too great a task against Wlad who has good footwork, goot handspeed, and a long reach. I think it could play out similiar to Pascal vs Hopkins, except Klitschko is NO HOPKINS, and Haye is better than Pascal. Not to mention, Klitschko has no chin.
I disagree. The element of surprise is always a good attack. I think he should stay well out of range and fight exactly like he did vs valeuv and asses the situation as well as time vlads movements and strikes..... Then after say round 3 I think he should start the onslaught and start to brawl. I think they expect him to start fast from the bell so I think for at least the first 3 or 4 he should mix it up. I have a feeling they have something special lined up in the form of a different tactic, but I just can't figure out what it is
if david waits, he will suffer the same fate as the rest. Hayes needs to put damage on Wlad in the first 6 rounds otherwise it will favor wlad heavily.
Haha you beat me to it. People act as if Haye's chin is better than Wlad's. Haye has been dropped by cruiserweights and even got knocked down by Barrett
You're right, David has a questionable chin himself, but Klitschko in addition to having no chin, has no heart.
I disagree. Klitschko vs. Sam Peter I. Klitschko went down twice in the fifth but came back to assert himself for the next few rounds. Then in the 10th, Peter landed two big right hands, put Wlad down for the third time. Klitschko recovered well and went on to outbox Peter for the final two rounds. I'd say that performance took plenty of heart.
What about the time when he went down from a FEINT against Ross Purity? What about the second time he was knocked down against Sanders, he went down without even getting punched. He just willingly went down to his hands and knees? What about when he blew his load trying to take our Mercer, but then when he realized Mercer wasn't going anywhere, went back to his hands and knees scared as **** to go down like a warrior? If he didn't survive caveman Peter's attack, he would be the laughing stock of the century and forgotten. That was his last hope.
Wouldn't say Wlad has no heart. He's got off the canvas a couple of times and tried to come through adversity even though he was stopped. Wlad has a suspect chin but he's never been flat out knocked out.
People like to forget that. The majority we're calling for the retirement of Wlad - look where he is now. If Wlad had no heart he'd have hung them up after the Sanders defeat.:good
