:lol:i know the video you're talking about

in a few years i'll take a john ruiz highlight clip (or make one), put it in sepia, and overanalyze how his holding was old school brilliant by showing it next to jack johnson doing the SAME ****ING THING and say he's the best heavyweight in the last 20 years

that burley fight and analysis was a little much i agree

The first half of a boxer highlight video should not be training/ring-walk/anything besides boxing montage and should not end on a loss for the fetured boxer.

The welsh Khaosai Galaxy would have had great success in the Welter division of the past few years and end up massively overrated.

1987 MegaTyson™ not only beats every other heavyweight in history, he does it easily.

George Foreman sucked and his entire reputation is propped up on the 70's Cycle of Heavyweight Overratedness and Glass Jaw Moorer.

Lennox Lewis had a glass jaw and the 90's are far weaker than people think they were

If you put a peak focused Mike Tyson in the ring against the version of Buster Douglas that showed up to fight in Tokyo, he's still suffering the first loss on his record.

If you put peak Tyson in against Holyfield, he's also taking the loss.

Sorry, but the amped-up, desperate Douglas that finally made the most out of his ability is always going to give Tyson fits, simply by virtue of having a wicked left jab, and a right hand that had enough pop to keep Tyson at his desired fighting range.

And Holyfield's strength and combination punching produces a similar result to what happened in 96, regardless of when they fight.

And just to drive Tyson fans completely bonkers, here's another unpopular opinion: the version of Tyson that fought that evening in Tokyo, while over-confident and past absolute peak, wasn't that far removed from the best Iron Mike that stepped into the ring. He was still a dangerous fighter with good power and hand-speed. Douglas just had an answer for it that night. And a hell of an answer it was. :D

My opinion. Nothing more...And nothing less.
