How can he blame Wlad for not making this fight happen? Wlad was prepared to fight him before Haye even had a ranking at heavyweight. Then when Haye had to pull out, he went and fought the next best heavyweight in Ruslan Chagaev anyway. Since then he's pummelled Eddie Chambers and a refocused Samuel Peter as well. Haye has barely beat a circus freak, John Ruiz and Audley Harrison :-( and he's got the cheek to claim that he's the world champion and that Wladimir only fights bums and didn't want this fight to happen? And he wonders why Wladimir is coming over as the nice guy?
General Forum gets trashed but their polls are pretty accurate indicator to the fight odds. Hard to expect objectivity in the British forum. After all it's the British forum, but I've heard it was far better than the general.
Its hard to determine the quality of a forum by just looking at poll results which can be heavily misleading. Its better to join in on the discussions instead.
Spot on from Roach. Wlad is not a natural fighter like Vitali is. Steward has talked about how he had to do insane amounts of rounds and padwork with him to get him comfortable. Before getting with Manny, Wlad would do more exotic exercises then boxing.
Roach summed up my feelings on Wlad. Unsettle him early and sporadic attacks from angles with shots in 2's and 3's. Punch when he grabs and keep blasting to side of head like Peter did. Haye's got to feint a lot and keep Wlad thinking and worrying because believe me he's scared of Haye landing on his chin. He knows in his heart that he can't take a dig.
